I would have her killed if she wanted Adrian dead because soon, whether the world likes it or not, I would be claiming back what was rightfully mine.

I remembered I told Raphael that I was dating Millar and I sighed.

I lied to Raphael so that he wouldn't see me as a rival or threat. Anytime I attacked him for my bride, I would take him by surprise like I loved doing.

"You surely are," Millar finally answered my questions, "But this piece of clothing is close to nothing. A little pull and it would be out."

"And who will pull it out? You?" I let out a dry chuckle which had no humour in it, "Oh, please! Except if you've written your will and goodnight letter to your parents."

A flicker of fear arose on her face, which I caught before her face could return to the dry, seductive one.
