14: Chase.

“Stop the car!” I yell at my driver, and the SUV comes to an abrupt halt outside Heaven’s Door.

I’m mad as fuck as I get out and slam the door shut. I should have tied her to the fucking bed when I left like I wanted to.

Professor Sparks had taken up entirely too long, and when I finally got her out of my office there was a line of students waiting to see me. Thankfully, only two of them were actually in my class and each of those students had real questions.

The other ones were only there to flirt, and it annoyed the shit out of me. It was a waste of my time and theirs, so I might have dismissed them in a not-so-gracious way. I didn’t give a fuck, because I couldn’t get a hold of Cathy. I’d tried to call her no less than a dozen times, but it kept going straight to voicemail. Either her phone died, or she turned it off to purposely ignore me.

When I called the house, Mae informed me that she’d left for class and hadn’t been home since. I checked in on her after her first two classes,
