HOPELESS OF her plan to go out to visit her mother, Blythe went back to her room and just dived in on her bed to drown herself in the ocean of boredom and infinite worry. Sometimes reading books or school notes entertains her—oh! and speaking of school, aside from her work which she sets aside since she lived at Attorney Vizmanos’ house, Blythe never had the chance to go back to her school as well. Attorney Vizmanos told her that he will see a way for it, maybe home school.
Even her best friend Claudia was inviting her for a dinner with her newfound family last time, but the weight of the world fell down on her shoulder making her the busiest person alive. Plus the fact that Blythe went emotionally unstable that she can't think properly the past few days, with all of those factors how come she won't forget it?
Based on what she heard from Addi, their friend— Claudia is currently dating a rich man. Blythe actually saw her ring with an elegant diamond cut just recently when they reunited again after a decade and two years of being apart, it looks good on her. But the guy is the lucky one between them because Claudia is not just a nice woman, but someone who possesses a jolly personality and a loving one as well...
Blythe murdered the freaking hours and day in the room reading her books and sometimes helping with the household chores.... like what she should do.
And if not, what else can she do inside that huge mansion aside from breathing and gawking at the wall like a fool?
Three days passed silently since Attorney Vizmanos left and until now the guy is still nowhere to be found. Well, he's a busy person with high-profiled clients queued outside his office plus the fact that his father has been trusting him with some of their company's biggest projects, and Blythe understands that pretty well. But the thing is that she has her own life to manage as well and Attorney Zandro has to understand that their contract won't stop her from seeing her mama.
Blythe can't do it anymore...
Attorney Zandro won't perhaps kill her if she tries to go out for maybe an hour or so, right? Visiting her mother is not some sort of crime, anyway. It's just her longing for her dear mother is getting higher, and yet her Mama Celia is in bad condition right now. Aside from Addi, she only has Blythe to take care of her.
She really has to find a way out now!
"My apology for that, señorita. But I think that it's better for us to wait for señorito to come home and ask him personally for permission," Luiz explained when Blythe tried to ask him to drive her out of the mansion.
"Please, Luiz. I don't have a single idea of the route I should take from here, I really really need your help. Can you please drive for me even just until we reach the highway? Maybe I can take a cab from there.” Begging harder makes her throat drier, but Blythe won't stop just yet. "I badly need to see my mother today, she's sick in the hospital and nobody is there to take care of her but me. Please, Luiz! Please."
Attorney Vizmanos's stunning mansion was built in a sequestered area with plenty of plants and trees everywhere, it's really in the middle of nowhere. Blythe has never seen the road all the way there but she could feel that it's way way too far from civilization. She has once read a magazine that features the ruthless attorney and part of the information indicated right there was his reclusive ranch, although they never disclose its exact location. They kept it exclusive, so Blythe won't question the absence of the neighborhood but the thought of nobody asking for some direction makes her feel really bad.
"I'm really sorry, señorita. But I don't want to get punished and lose my job," he said in a tone of pleading. "I understand where you are coming from, but señorito's orders will always be an order in his house."
Blythe stuck her mouth out while looking at the top of the 120-inch European-style metal gate, it was nearly touching the white clouds and it's impossible to climb. A harsh breath came out of her lips as she stuck her mouth out again. There's something that's knocking inside her head, but she's still sitting on the fence about whether to pull it or not.
"Do you think Attorney Vizmanos won't punish you once something bad happens to me while I was finding my way out?" Manipulation is bad but she’s really desperate now, so she pulled her crazy stunt eventually.
A smirk surfaced on her lips when fear melted in the driver's round face, she seemed to have found the right button and it was almost working out this time. After how many days of trying her luck, she's always failing for different reasons. But this day seems like her lucky day!
Fresh as they say... she poked her head out of the window to enjoy the cold wind embracing her face, no amount of words can beat the joy overflowing in her chest thinking that she'll be seeing her Mama Celia now. Since the day that the old woman found her on the cold pavement, there has never been a chance they have separated this long. This was the first time, and it saddens her to think that she is not on her side now that her mama needs her the most. If her situation with Attorney Zandro is not just complicated with all the contract and all the rules— well— it was a choice she made, therefore it's a problem she needs to handle...
"Mama..."
Tears pooled in her eyes when for the first time since the accident happened she finally got to visit her mother. Blythe wrapped the old woman in her arms and cried more. Part of her promise is to be stronger for them, but with her mother's condition— the scratches on her face, the injuries, the tubes connected to her— Blythe’s heart kept on breaking again and again.
If she could only find those criminals who did this to her mother she will make sure to make them pay big time. To run those criminals over won't ever be enough for her, she will do worse than that and make sure that they will regret their crime a lot.
While gently combing her mother's gray hair, droplets of her tears continuously fall down her face. It was just a week or two yet it feels like forever, plus those memories that keep on coming back are making her chest tighter.
The way her mama worries for her every time she's having a nightmare, the way she wipes her tears; the way she brings her comfort, peace, love, and a smile... Truly, her Mama is the best mother in the whole wide universe and she will do everything to keep her alive.
Blythe was busy reminiscing things when she heard consecutive knocks on the door, thinking that maybe Addi was now back after getting some food from the cafeteria made her run in a hurry only to stumble in so much horror after finding the cold and stoic face of Attorney Vizmanos.
Behind his back are his two well-built bodyguards who moved to take her away when he motioned them to…
"MI AMOR"THE DEAFENING silence that's been roaring between the newlyweds since they went home from the hospital is starting to make Blythe crazy, as well as the anger, breaking over Zandro's face earlier was enough cue that he's mad about what she has done. Truly that what she did is a violation of their agreement, and violation means punishment or chastise. Blythe would understand it but as to what Attorney Vizmanos was doing— he was just calmly walking ahead of her, both hands were resting inside his pocket and his head was up as if he was boasting over someone. Doesn't he care about what Blythe has done? Was it alright for him that Blythe violated his rule?If so, what were the rules for? "Attorney," she called out after an audible sigh. Her chest can't hold it back anymore. "I'm so sorry for what I've done, I never really planned to violate your rule but I just can't help it. I'm really dying to see my mother—" "I understand," he interjected in the middle of her apology. Zandr
"THE DEATH OF HER"NOW THAT Zandro has mentioned it again, everything came flooding back to her mind. All the reasons that brought her into that huge house, particularly the main ground of their agreement— it's all for the power and position he wants to claim in a court of law. And to have that, Zandro has to prove himself of the qualities that the old magistrate was looking for from the line of most professional lawyers in the country to deserve the throne more."I would do that," Blythe agreed."Great... Now, what is it that you need for that idiot?""Well, the guy has a name and it's Luiz," she bravely said instead. "And the thing is that he should not be held accountable for what happened. It's me who forced him to take me out of your mansion. Luiz has been badly opposing my idea, but—""Stop beating around the bust..." He gave her an icy-cold stare. "Go straight to the point now.""Punish me instead of him," she claimed without having a second thought. Blythe bit her lower lip, t
"CASSIDY CORREA VILLALOBOS"THE PRIVATE meeting continues inside the huge office of the Monroe's mansion, Zandro's eyes keep on sticking around the people that his family has been serving for how many decades now. The Monroes and his respectable parents were good friends which actually started with the late Don Honoracio Inocencio Monroe who has been nothing but a charitable and great leader dating back to the early 1940s. The different charity events he founded were what gives his father— retired Lt. Col. Arquero Augusto Vizmanos— the chance to attain an education which led him to the successful life he has today. To make it short, the cage that's keeping their bond with the race that once in history was their mortal enemy was made of unexpected friendship and debt of gratitude. Same reasons that keep on strangling Zandro into following all of the commands given by his honorable father who sheltered him since he saved Zandro from the hands of the syndicate that abducted him back when
"THE FORBIDDEN ROOM""DON'T, PLEASE..." she pleaded while bullets of perspiration kept on coming on her clean forehead. "No. I'm not doing anything bad, please!!"Blythe rose from the bed feeling the shortness of her breathing, the way she clutched her blanket looked as if she was going to ruin it. God, another nightmare struck her peaceful sleep again, and just like what happened after her mother's accident, nobody is there to comfort her and give her a glass of water. In her throat were embers that were drying it so much. Probably she gets it from crying and screaming once in a while.Still panting, she turned to the photograph standing on the table beside her bed. Seeing the pretty face of her Mama Celia and her condition right now makes her chest collapse once more. To survive and live, she'll be needing the operation sooner and Blythe has to go for extra measures for that to happen...Eventually, she decided to go downstairs to the kitchen to get herself some water. Blythe was cu
"I'M NOT PAYING YOU TO ACT THIS WAY"ZANDRO WAS clenching his wounded jaw really hard to not feel too much pain while Antonette has been dabbing cotton with alcohol on it. Dimas has gone through the roof the other night and his fist nearly ruined Zandro's face. And since he was a lucky man last night, he also get it accidentally collided on the wall after he ran in a hurry out of fear that Blythe might catch him in that creepy look.Damn his poor handsome face!"I don't really know what's going on with you, Zandro. The other day, I caught you having your sweet time with her. Then, what now? Watching her sleeping in her room for goodness sake?"Slightly, he dodges his face away from his friend who has been nagging about nonsense things since earlier. Zandro stared at her with creases on his forehead. "What sweet time are you talking about?"Antonette put the cotton down and slightly leaned to Zandro as she looked at him straight into his eyes."Mi Amor," she said while mimicking his c
"SHE'S ALIVE AND VERY HAPPY"IT'S BEEN five years now since Claudia learned about the tragedy that happened to her loving sister— the death of Cassidy at the hands of the man she trusted and loved so much. Out of the molten fury that wrapped her heart, she accepted the agreement of alliance from Dimas Vizmanos against his younger brother who is also the one who murdered her sister.Again and again, Claudia keeps on tossing the small jar in the air that contains this magical thing that surely Zandro was raving about since she stole and kept it that night. Just like what's inside her plan with Zandro's older brother— Dimas Vizmanos— she did her best to get his trust while she's acting as a daughter of their house servant and she's needing a law-related help against her boyfriend who'd been harassing her.The brilliant attorney had never been easy to tame nor to fool, the way he asked questions and investigated gave Claudia frequent heart attacks. In her fear of getting caught— she used
RULE NUMBER: 2NEVER MEDDLE in each other's personal life. They are allowed to ask a few questions like the shallow ones; a favorite color, food, movie, book, and such. But the personal sorts are foul...Does Blythe have been too much when she heads to Attorney Vizmanos' room and accidentally hears Antonette's moan from there? To interfere or meddle over Zandro's life has never been her plan because right from the start Blythe was already informed of how many lines she can only step on in the life of her fake husband. She's just too grateful and because of overflowing joy in her chest, she's been heedless of the outcome of her hasty actions. And it's not like she stayed there just to listen more, yet she also apologized for what she's done. But what does she get from Alezzandro? Insults and more painful words.Zandro didn't just say them, he slapped them in her chest like Blythe is no different from the girls out there he's paying to satisfy his needs... On second thought, what is it
"SPIDER""A-ATTORNEY." Her greeting came out broken, shocked by the presence of the man standing behind her and looking like listening to her conversation with her boss. "Do you need anything?"From leaning lazily against the cream-colored wall, Zandro gently walked towards Blythe. So opposite of that, his face was sculpted with the aristocracy that it can't even show some tenderness. It's always darkly menacing, constantly intimidating, and always gorgeous. Zandro came close to face her better, his face lits up when he lessen the crumples on his forehead. He then took a deep breath before he caressed her cheek."I'm so sorry," he started out. Lost in what he was doing, but Blythe still tried hard to keep it to herself. To trigger another heated argument with this brilliant man is the last thing she wants to happen, her emotion got the best of her this morning when she raised her voice and even turned her back on him. His eyes held nothing as he stared at her. "What I told you earl
"THE GARLIC" BLYTHE AND MRS. LADIGNON were both startled by a voice that suddenly joined their conversation, her body froze more when she felt her husband's warm arms envelop her small waist. Zandro planted his chin on her shoulder blades and his every breath on her skin were kisses that caused her electric shocks, making the hair on her nape rise. "Zandro!" Mrs. Ladignon reprimanded, amusedly shaking her head. "My goodness this man! We're still starting here and you're here again?" "What's wrong? I miss my wife," he said like he really meant it. "Can I join you two?" "And what about Lorenzo?" Mrs. Ladignon placed her hands on her waist. "You left him alone?" "Well, he got an important call." Zandro tightened his arms on her like he doesn't care about anyone's presence. "Hmmm... still no. Go back there because this is a girly bonding." Then Mrs. Ladignon turned to her like she was asking for help. "Blythe, please scold that stubborn." Their faces immediately met the second that
"THE NECKLACE" BLYTHE'S JOY was endless as she and Zandro headed to the dining room where they were going to have their breakfast with their guests. Zandro didn't allow her to walk by herself because her husband was still worrying that she might be relapsed, so he insisted on carrying her bridal style as they went out of their room. Bythe could feel many eyes watching the two of them, it doesn't feel good but since she was with Zandro they had to bow down and bit the bitterness to themselves."Oh! The love birds are here," Mrs. Ladignon greeted in glee. "Good morning."Zandro gently deposited her in an empty seat, then Blythe smiled sweetly as she greeted the couple back."How do you feel now, Blythe? I heard you've got an aching leg yesterday.""Unfortunately, yes, Ma'am. And I'm sorry that I failed to spend dinner with you.""No, hija. We understand," Judge Ladignon interjected. He put his cup of coffee down as he looked at Blythe with a small smile on his lips. "But you made your
"RED-EYED WOLF AND THE MONOGRAM" "YOU ARE no different from your mother and your father, Claudia. You are also weak and worthless!" The cuts made by her abuela's words in her chest have been much deeper than those she got from the trouble she encountered the other night, it has sharp daggers that continuously penetrate inside her. Claudia was left unmoving while her head was hanging low, it was a good thing though because the old woman won't get the chance to see the emotion she was failing to hide in her swollen eyes at the moment. The building up of any emotions on her face would get her into more punishments, she can't be weak! "I can't believe you let that scoundrel take your attention off the Monroes, Claudia! What if you've missed a very important detail in their conversation, huh?" Senora Constanza motioned her well-painted fingers in grace, then the server next to her automatically flicked the golden fan to bring her some cool air. "Que barbaridad! I personally picked you
"LULLABY"HOW MANY times did Blythe admit to herself that Attorney Vizmanos is a God's gift to women? Well, it's been a long time already since she first saw him being featured in one of the famous magazine folds, and then on the day she personally met him in the club where she's working as a waitress, she found herself developing a deeper feeling for the guy. Blythe refused to label it as an attraction because it seemed too deep for her simple admiration, but admiration can also be a shallow word for the way her heart feels... Now, she's confused.A simple fight happened between them that day when Blythe insisted to help him with the wounds he got from her boss— Mr. Vizmanos, who's also Zandro's brother— who just suddenly punched him in the face even though Zandro just saved her and her fellow employee from those pervert customers back then. Blythe presented herself as his fan and also one of his scholars in his foundation, but instead of being friendly to her, Attorney Vizmanos th
"HIS SCENT IS SOMETHING DIFFERENT" CURRENTLY WALKING back to the mansion, all exhausted and having too much of the day when Zandro suddenly started another show by going her way with his broad back and guiding her to ride on it. Blythe knows it very well, but don't they have done too much for today?"I know you are very much tired," he uttered while pulling her closer to his body. "Common, Mi Amor.""B-but I can still manage it, Zandro... I might burden you.""I rather suffer than you." An encouraging smile flashed on his face. "Now, would you please..."Blythe can actually feel the pain piercing her feet because of walking almost the whole day, but they have to be with their special guests as they stroll nearly the whole farm. To support them, she never let anyone see that she's in pain because they were in a show and she's an actress; she should act better but the pain in her feet just won't cooperate.Zandro gently guided her over his masculine back, and as she embraced his neck s
"SHE WAS MY CHILDHOOD FRIEND" AS THEIR farm tour continues, their conversation went astray into different topics as well since the Ladignon couple has been very energetic and too nosy about Zandro and Blythe's love story. Their sudden arrival feels like a test they actually prepared for a long time but it is still shocking and stressing them out. After a very long and exhausting walk, they finally settled themselves into the comfort of the soft picnic blanket arranged for the four of them underneath the huge Narra tree. From there is the breathtaking view of the greenery that brings them the aroma of crisp air that soothes their bodies, as well as the lake that was as silver as diamond flame; the melody of its peaceful current is a piece of music to anyone's ear. It feels amazing to connect with these wonderful creations, it's taking all of her stress and heavy emotions away. Blythe gently shut her eyes and a sweet smile crept upon her pretty face. "So, Blythe..." it's Mrs. Ladi
"SUN ALLERGY" ANSWERS slapped Blythe right as they went out of his room with their fingers intertwined like it was made for such a purpose, they stayed like that while they were walking towards the garden where their visitors were waiting for them.Right from the rectangular white garden table is the old yet, famous and great magistrate, Mr. Lorenzo Ladignon in his not-so-formal white linen short-sleeve, dark linen shorts, and comfy deck shoes. The air he was carrying matched his casualty, and beside him stood his sophisticated wife, Mrs. Jamilla Ladignon in her white floral maxi dress and blonde curled hair. Both were busy talking about some funny things when they saw them coming, Judge Ladignon helped his wife to rise for them. "So, is she the lucky girl?" Mrs. Ladignon inquired as she greeted her with a cheek kiss and warm hug after. "You're so pretty, hija. Attorney Zandro never go wrong with his choices. Really excellent at everything, I would say again." "Of course, sweethear
"PART OF THE CONTRACT" BLYTHE FURRED like a contented cat when the sweet and refreshing morning came peeking through the glasses of her big window, inviting and teasing her half-opened eyes to watch it and savor the melting fog on the amazing view of the horizon. This morning feels so special, far different from all the mornings she had in her whole life of existence; and it fazes her a bit why. What's with this morning that her chest feels lighter and so is the whole room? When she finally decided to open her eyes, it was welcomed by this grayish and shiny ceiling above. So different from the serenity that used to bring by the colored cream gypsum ceiling in the room she's been using these past weeks. This one looks wider and pretty amazing that she shut her mouth from yawning the second that she realized she was not in her room. Oh, dang it! The whole room looks classier from all the clear glasses around, plus the chandelier on top. The domination of neutral colors makes it a lo
"YOU ARE BETTER THAN THIS, ZETA!" "So, you two knew each other?" Zack asked in awe, looking at them with curiosity. "I just can't imagine how you've changed through the years, Zandro. From the guy who's broken-hearted over one woman, to this playboy who's collecting pretty—" "I don't know this criminal that much, but we have things to settle," Zandro answered without lifting his sharp green eyes away from the woman he has been looking for for so many years already. "You go to Antonette and tell her to get the car ready." It was as if Zandro and Claudia's gazes were brushed with the strongest adhesive that they can't lift their eyes away from each other, they can't even blink in fear that one of them might start an attack. But Zandro knows better that his father was just around and he won't risk his precious image just for the sake of his molten anger towards this thief, he's too good to be like Dimas. Of course, he has another way and he won't let her slip away again. "Are you le
