Was I dreaming? Because this moment felt as though it wasn't real. Aryan searched for me and came all the way? What could have happened? He threw me out of the party and must have come out probably to call me back in but realized I had left.

I would have expected him to go back inside and give up since he seemed so upset with me. This was surprising. What could he want to say to me? It suddenly hit me; he wanted to reject me, but then what about Selene?

Oh no! I knew about the pain of rejection. I had heard about it one too many times. I guess I had no choice but to brace myself for the pain.
