I PROMISE

Aryan stared at Mrs. Harold in surprise, "You knew Adele's mom?"

"Yes," Mrs. Harold replied. "My husband and I were here, and I was the one who helped Adele's mom deliver her. She died right after birthing her."

Aryan could not understand what was going on, "Am I imagining all this?"

Mrs. Harold shook her head, "No, you're not.

"But Adele told me that her mom fell ill and died a few months after giving birth to her."

"Of course, Adele told you what she was told."

"So, does it mean both Adele and Selene were born in this cave?"

"No, they were not."

"If they were not both born in this cave, how come they are twins?"

"You will find out everything soon enough." Mrs. Harold responded.

"Please, tell me if you know," Aryan pleaded. "Everything is so confusing, and I can't understand what you're saying. Kindly explain it to me."

"As I said earlier, be patient, and you'll find out the truth for yourself," Mrs. Harold advised.

"Adele was a special child, and she was born differently
