Chapter 29 Tell Him To Go

Gray’s POV

I let the other generals in charge of the frontline and left with a group of my best trusted men. We traveled day and night, and managed to arrived Shadow Valley Pack in 3 days time.

I stepped out of the car and took in the sight of Shadow Valley Pack’s capital city for the first time.

The place was a stark contrast to anything I’d ever seen.

Tall, ancient trees formed a natural barrier around the city, their twisted branches creating an almost impenetrable wall. The buildings were made of dark stone and wood that seemed to merge seamlessly with the surrounding forest.

The air was thick with the rusty smell of blood, like a thousand livestock just got slaughtered in the city. I could smell fear and horror in the air.

In the distance, there was a grand castle-like shadow rising above the treetops, its towers reaching for the sky, like one of those structures that trapped a princess in it.

My heart ached. Was this where Regina had been living in for the past year?
