Chapter 4

Dylan loves Jessica very much, but Rosie was back in his life. Rosie is very beautiful and, most importantly, slim and simple—the way he would have preferred Jessica to be. So it would be easy for him to carry Jessica up to his chest and make love to her while standing in their bedroom whenever he was intimate with her.

But Jessica is too heavy for him to carry now, and he can’t do all those crazy love-making styles that he used to do with her before. Because of her chubby body now, their sexual affairs as husband and wife have reduced and become dull. He couldn't do all those fun things that he liked doing with Jessica again.

Jessica is also mostly preoccupied with household chores, in taking care of their two children, and Dylan didn't like how their fun moments have died down.

Dylan found himself bullying Jessica every day about her chubby body, but she usually smiled past it, not knowing that he was serious about it. No matter what he did to annoy Jessica, she would only smile and never got upset with him, which frustrated him. As he couldn't go outside of their matrimonial home and cheat on her, or find some random lady to sleep with. It would ruin his reputation and his company too, if anyone who knew him saw him in a clubhouse or coming out of a hotel room with a woman who wasn't his wife.

Jessica's father is a billionaire in their state, and a very influential man. Dylan knew that he couldn't just cheat on Jessica and have the wild fun pleasure that he desired. But with Rosie back in the country, they had reunited.

Dylan visited Rosie in her home, and she told him that she was still single. She even encouraged him to divorce Jessica so that they could be together again.

In Rosie's words, "Dy, you're not the first man to divorce his wife, and you won't be the last either. So please divorce that woman at home with you, so that we can marry, as you promised to marry me when I was 16 years old."

Dylan remembered that he was with Rosie in her home when she mentioned divorcing Jessica. He actually lifted Rosie off the ground and wrapped her two slender legs around his waist in that particular sēxual style that he loved the most.

Dylan agreed to divorce Jessica, so he wouldn't feel guilty about cheating on her. Rosie even helped him get the divorce papers ready, as he couldn't believe that he was actually divorcing Jessica. He couldn't go to the courthouse or speak to his lawyer about it. He only gave Rosie his full name and his wife's full name, and he had not even read the divorce papers that Rosie helped him prepare.

Dylan still loves Jessica after all that she has done for him, and a part of him didn't want to divorce her as his wife, and the mother of his two kids. 

Jessica has never done anything wrong to him before, aside from the fact that she has gained weight, as she truly loves him and supported him in becoming the billionaire that he is today.

When Dylan stepped out of the guest room where he had fallen asleep the previous night and walked into the living room. He saw his two kids playing and running around in the living room at that early hour of the day.

The time was already after 8 a.m., and Dylan wondered what Jessica was still doing upstairs in their bedroom instead of preparing their children for school and taking them to school too.

"Daddy! Daddy!" Caleb and Nina both rushed up to hug his legs when they saw him step out from the guest room corridor into the living room. 

Dylan carried Caleb up to his chest using his right arm and likewise picked up Nina with his left arm. He asked them, "No school today?"

Nina resembled Jessica with her pretty yellow-skinned face and cute chubby cheeks, and Caleb resembles Dylan with his dark skin and short black hair.

Caleb shook his head and replied to his father, "I don't know, Dad."

"Mm, okay. Wait, let me find out from your mummy. And don’t play rough games with your sister, okay? I'm coming back," Dylan said as he proceeded to climb the living room stairs. He knew that he had fired their last maid and mandated that Jessica do all the house chores alone, taking care of their kids. She wouldn't just be sitting lazily at home while leaving all the work to their maid.

Dylan went upstairs and walked into the bedroom. He saw Jessica crying on the bed in her dreaming state, calling out his name loudly as she screamed.

Dylan swiftly rushed to meet Jessica and scooped her up in his arms, trying to wake her from her dream state. "Jessica, babe, it’s me, Dylan. Wake up! I'm here now, babe."

Dylan shook Jessica visibly to wake her up as she kept calling out his name and crying, "Dylan, please don't send me away. I'm sorry, Dylan. Please."

"I'm here, babe. I won't send you away. Wake up now, Jessica. I'm here now..." Dylan didn't know if it was one of Jessica's tricks to make him not divorce her, but he had never seen her in that state before, and it worried him so much that he finally woke her up.

Jessica's forehead was covered in sweat, likewise her face, as she cried in her dream and begged Dylan. Until she heard his deep, masculine voice close to her ears, her eyes finally opened to meet his handsome face in front of her, locked onto his sharp blue eyes.

"Dylan..." Jessica slowly called her husband's name to be sure that he was really the one. She stretched her right hand upward to touch his chin and his fine jawline, ensuring that he was truly there with her and not just a figment of her dream.

Jessica caressed Dylan's jaw and blushed as she met his strong blue gaze. She couldn't believe that he was actually there with her in their bedroom, as she remembered that he had left the previous night, leaving her to sleep alone in their big bed.

Dylan saw that Jessica was finally awake as he met her unique blue eyes. He carefully sat her up on the bed and moved away from her as he stood up, staring at her face coldly. He raked his short black hair in frustration as he met Jessica’s gaze.

She was so embarrassed to realize that she had cried all through the previous night and during her sleep, even calling out his name in real life because of the nightmare.

The dream felt so real; Jessica saw Dylan throwing her things outside, but as she kept crying and calling out his name, he came back to his senses and didn't send her away again. He became confused by the strange woman in their home, who angrily left after Dylan refused to send Jessica away.

Jessica knew that she had to consult with her pastor to pray against any strange woman preparing to destroy her home and marriage. She looked at Dylan's face, where he stood beside their bed, raking his short black hair in frustration as he stared away from her.

His former gentle smile had vanished from his face and turned strict again. He asked her icly, "Aren't the kids going to school today?"

"The kids?" Jessica looked perplexed, as she had completely forgotten about her two children. She was still seated on the bed in her white nightgown, and used the hem of her nightgown to wipe off her sweaty forehead and tears. She sniffed and asked Dylan, "Which kids?"

Jessica had completely forgotten about her two kids, and she saw Dylan's expression harden, as he looked at her and asked, "Our kids, Jessica? Aren't they going to school today?"

"Oh! I forgot!" "They are already late!" Jessica exclaimed, jumping down from the bed and rushing out of the bedroom. She remembered that she wasn't wearing a bra or panties, quickly walking back to the wardrobe to get her undergarments, not minding that Dylan was staring at her.

Dylan was still standing beside the bed, and Jessica hurriedly took her jacket and put it on over her white nightgown before she finally exited their bedroom, rushing downstairs to meet her children, as their rooms were still downstairs on the second side of the mansion.
