“Coffee?”

Instant recognition struck me. He was the dude from yesterday that I'd bathed in his own cup of coffee. Oh my! What was he doing here?

Damon, was it? I stood there, maintaining a nice smile while bearing the weight of Alpha Alexander's gaze on me. I wasn't over all that embarrassment and I'd indeed hoped that he wouldn't be at work today, long enough to buy me back my pride.

I had none. “Damon?” I called out, finally prying my lips open. I wasn't doing anything wrong. But how come two men before whom I'd embarrassed myself happened to know each other?

What ill-fate! “Wow…” Damon eyed me. “It's so good to see you again. I was about to make a composite sketch and have it on the walls, all around packs to find you. Thankfully, that wouldn't be needed now, would it?”

I let out a small laugh. I liked his sense of humor and his face, well. But then, if I smiled a bit too much, my boss might rip me apart, seeing as he hadn't stopped gawking at me.
