"Right, right." Shaun glanced at his watch. "Seems about time too."

Luke emerged, his face unreadable. "I'll take you two."

Shaun looked at him in surprise. "What's gotten into you today?" He wondered, 'He's offering to take us to the makeup test? He'd never usually do something like this.'

Luke's face darkened at his words, his voice frosty. "In that case, it seems unnecessary."

"No, no, we need you. We do," Shaun agreed hastily with a grin. "It's best if you're willing to lead. Let's go."

Luke stalked off, expression as cold as ever. As he passed Wyneth, he paused and gave her a glance, his gaze far from pleasant.

"Come on, it's a rare occasion he's being cooperative. Let's not lose him."
