Adeline sits on her bed for a few seconds staring at the text: He is going to be there too. She gets up and noiselessly sneaks out of the house. She has to call Nadia and with so many people with super-hearing in the house, she needs to be careful. She walks a little away from the mansion and then calls Nadia’s number who picks it up on the first ring.
“What is he coming for?” Asks Adeline with annoyance.
“What do you think?”
“Ugh... this means you can’t come? This is infuriating, even now, after almost a hundred years we have to meet in secret. I hate it.”
