Adeline is pacing in her room. It’s late at night but she cannot sleep. The thoughts of what happened today are badgering her. She had told Nadia what she needed to know. She had decided for herself. For her happiness. But the fact that she has gone against the people who had accepted her into their lives is eating her up. Should she have stayed quiet?
She sighs and decides to go and have a drink, otherwise, she won’t be able to sleep. She had not expected anyone to be awake at this time of the night but she sees Tyrus sitting in the hall.
“Hey,” she says as he turns around to see her coming.
“Hi, can’t sleep?”
“No. You?”
“Same.”
