Our foreheads pressed together, panting, Cole looks into my eyes, his slender fingers brushing my hair back away from my face and licks his lips. “What have you done to me, Shayla Hart.”

I smile, meeting his adoring gaze, “Whatever you’ve done to me, Cole Hoult.” I pant, and he kisses me deeply sucking my bottom lip gently before he pulls away. His kisses drive me insane. After we clean ourselves up, we continue with our drive to the heart of Nice, and start our day with a stroll along the Promenade des Anglais. Cole had his arm around my shoulder, and I hand mine tucked in the back pocket of his jeans as he told me stories around the architect of the buildings we pass by and I listen with fascination.

“The coffee here is amazing, come on.” He says guiding me to this adorable little café by the Riviera where we sat and had the most incredible coffee, and I ordered the best coconut cream cake I have ever eaten in my life.

Nice write up so far. Loving it and is like they have less than two months to the end of their contract, eager to know how they are going to go around it.

I would have loved vivid descriptions of the sex scenes as against just giving us the climax notes ...‍♀️

“Tristan Cole Hoult, are you trying to get me drunk?” Shayla giggles as I pour us another glass of white wine.I shake my head chuckling, “No, not at all.” I declare feigning innocence, and she narrows her eyes at me sceptically. “Besides, a couple of bottles of wine isn’t going to get us that drunk. I don’t think anything will top how drunk we were the night we met.”Shayla groans with a smile shaking her head, “Oh my god, don’t remind me. I was hungover for three days straight. I will never drink that much ever again.” She says, putting her glass down and lays back, staring up at the star-filled sky with a sigh. I couldn’t even tell you what time it was; we’ve been sitting up on the top deck of the yacht just talking and drinking wine and eating a cheese board. I lay down beside Shayla, and we gaze up at the stars together. She looks over at me when I feed her a grape and smiles. “Tel

“We’ll get sick sweetheart,” I whisper between kisses, and she cups my face in her hands and smiles.“I don’t care.” She whispers, kissing me back avidly. There we stood in the pouring rain, completely soaked, kissing passionately without a care in the world about anything else but each other. That moment was definitely worth catching pneumonia for. The flash of lightning, followed by a loud rumble of thunder interrupts our moment. We jump apart, and I take her hand, pulling her inside to the bottom deck just as the boat pulls up to the marina.“You’re shivering,” I say, rubbing her arms and she shakes her head smiling up at me.“So are you.” She breathes panting. I watch her closely as she lifts my t-shirt up and over my head, dropping it on the floor before her cold, trembling fingers rake down my chest and stomach. I press my forehead to hers while she unbuttons my jeans and pushes them down. I

Shayla bites her lip and nods, “Yes, you can, just focus on me.” She whispers, looking into my eyes. I lick my lips and reach over to brush my thumb along her jaw. “You get one kiss, make it count.” She states, staring into my eyes, the warmth she usually has in her eyes when she looks at me disappeared, and she stares at me vacantly.“I’m not going to waste a kiss from you on the likes of her,” I say, pressing my lips to the corner of her mouth. “Let’s get out of here,” I whisper and drop a kiss on her forehead. Shayla nods, and we stand up. I drop some cash on the table, wrap my arm around Shayla’s shoulder, and we leave the café. I can feel Sophie's glare as I pass by her without so much as a glance, focussing all my attention on the one girl who actually deserves it.Just when things were going so great for us, we took a giant step back, and things have been strained between us since we got ba

“Mum, are you sure you feel okay? I can stay longer if you need me?” I argue with my mother, but she shakes her head and waves me off.“No honey, I feel fine now, honestly. You’ve run yourself ragged looking after me as well as working this past week. Go home to your husband.” She says while I pull the blanket over her, so she stays warm.“But Mum—”“Shayla, I’m okay now. Bedside’s, I have Sammy to look after me too. Go home.” I look over at Sam, who nods his head agreeing with her.“Anything changes or she starts to feel worse you call me? You understand?” I tell my older brother, and he nods again with a little smile.“I will, I promise. Mum’s right, you look exhausted Shay, go and get some rest before you get sick too.” He says ruffling my hair like I was a six-year-old. I slap his hand away and punch his shoulder scowling at him, and he chuckle

I brush my fingers over his face printed on the gravestone, “Am I really so unlovable? What is wrong with me? Why does everyone find it so easy just to toss me aside and walk away from me?” I hiccup, shaking my head. “I’m so mad at myself because I knew this would happen, but I didn’t expect it to hurt this much.” I laugh bitterly and wipe away my tears. “I deserve this. I deserve to feel this way because I’m stupid. I should have walked away from him that day, but I couldn’t. I should walk away now, but I can’t because my heart and my pride won’t let me.” I whimper dejectedly closing my eyes. “Oh, Daddy, what am I going to do?” I felt a chill run down my spine when I lay my head on the dirt and sob until I was all cried out. “I miss you so much,” I admit my voice breaking. “Thank you for listening to me, and I know you’re probably very disappointed in me and what a mess I&rsq

“No, that’s okay. I’ll drive myself. I’m not going to be very long. I’ll see you at the office, okay?” I say and smile at him. He looks into my face and blinks. I pull my hand out of his and walk to the front door. I open it and walk out of the apartment. I heave a sigh when he doesn’t follow me and rush to the car to leave as quickly as possible. I don’t even wait for the elevator; I take the stairs.Thirty minutes later, I was sat waiting for Franc at his office. “Miss Hart, Mr Clement, will see you now.” I nod and smile politely at the young receptionist and walk to his office. Franc stands and moves over to me when I walk in and shakes my hand.“Miss Hart, welcome. Please, take a seat.” He greets gesturing to the leather chairs opposite his marble desk. “How can I help you?”I sigh and lick my lips, “Before I tell you the reason I’m here, I need to know if the cli

“Tristan?”I lift my eyes from the cup of coffee I’ve been staring at for the past twenty minutes. I look at Sophie, who waves in my face. “Hm?”“I’ve been talking for the last twenty minutes, and you’ve not even been listening to me.” She huffs slumping back in her chair and crossing her arms over her chest, seemingly annoyed with me annoyed.I shake my head, “I’m sorry, babe, I’ve just got a lot on my mind.” I sigh and reach over. I take her hand in mine and rub her knuckles gently. “I’m listening,”Sophie smiles and places her hand over mine. “I was saying now you’re getting divorced tomorrow we can arrange a dinner and get our families together to announce that we’re back together again. Wouldn’t that be nice?”I rub my forehead and smile, “Soph, that’s a great idea, but let’s do it in a couple of month

Ah, I want to scream, why won’t mind just shut the hell up! I exhale, shake my head, forcing myself to focus on the work in front of me, but my eyes lift to her again. She’s packed up her desk and is now hugging everyone. Heather is crying, never seen her cry in all the years she’s worked here. This office is going to be so depressing once she’s gone.Shayla turns and looks at me through the window, our eyes meet, and when I see tears roll down her cheeks, everything in my being hurt so fucking much. I clench my jaw tight. My fingers were trembling, so I fist them to stop myself from walking over there and holding onto her for dear life. She kisses her index and middle fingers and presses it over her heart. I kiss mine and press it to my mine, and we nod. My eyes burn as I blink back the tears. That was a gesture we did while in Nice while we were making love. Shayla had taken my fingers, kissed them, and placed them over her heart. It was so sweet and

Twenty minutes later, the house smelt sensational with home-cooked goodness. Cole strolls into the kitchen while his wife cooks pancakes. He wraps his arms around her from behind and kisses her pulse. “As good as this food smells, I can’t wait to eat you later,” Cole growls in her ear hungrily, making her grin. “Shh, baby, the kids are going to hear you,” Shayla whispers back, looking up at him, and he matches her grin leaning close. “They’re not even in here.” Cole chuckles, kissing her softly. Shayla wraps her arms around her husband’s neck and parts her lips when his tongue silently requests permission to meet her own. “Oh, barf. Mum and Dad are making out again.” RJ grumbles, walking into the kitchen, followed by Alaia, who grimaces as they take their seats at the dining table. Shayla and Cole laugh as they pull apart. “Now you know how we feel watching you slobber all over your little ‘friends’ you keep bringing over.” Alaia retorts, making air q

  • Accidentally Yours   Epilogue 1

Sixteen years later…On a beautiful Saturday morning in the month of August, Shayla Hoult rolls over in the bed she shares with her gorgeous husband Tristan Cole Hoult and smiles contently. At the tender age of forty-six, he was still every bit as handsome as he always was. She lay on her side and admired him while he slept. He still looked the same—but older with fine lines that came with maturity, which made him even sexier. The stubble of his beard had specks of grey, which she loved.“Why are you staring at me?” Cole mumbles, his eyes still closed, causing his wife to start while she was lost deep in her thoughts. Shayla smiles, her cheeks flushing ever so slightly, and reaches over to brush her fingers over his cheek. Cole smiles, peels his eyes open, and blinks, looking at his beautiful wife smiling at him lovingly.“How long have you been awake?” Shayla giggles when he wraps his strong arm around her waist and drags he

I exhale slowly, and Cole sits up and turns the night light on, blinking a couple of times till his eyes adjust to the light. “My water broke,” I tell him, and he shifts and pushes the covers off himself and gets out of bed. I watch him walk around the bed to my side, and he takes hold of my hand to help me sit up.“Are you having contractions?” He questions, brushing my hair away from my face, and I nod. “What do you need me to do?”I exhale slowly when another contraction comes. I wait for it to pass before I speak. “Call my midwife, then my mum. Tell her I’m in labour, and we’ll drop Laia to her.” I instruct him, and he kisses my forehead before he grabs my phone. While Cole was on the phone, I take off my wet clothes and change into a pair of grey comfortable tracksuit bottoms and one of Coles oversized hoodies. The pain was getting worse by the minute, and I was worried we wouldn’t make it to the hospital. “Cole, we have to go. Like right now.” I whimper, and he l

“Shay.” I lift my gaze from staring at my huge baby bump and look at my husband, who rolls over when I turn the night lamp on. “You okay?” Cole questions drowsily, and I glower at him.“Why won’t this baby come out.” I hiss angrily, and Cole groans, leaning up on his elbow and looks at me, his green eyes narrowed.“Maybe he likes it in there and isn’t ready to leave just yet.” He smiles, rubbing my bump, and the baby squirms inside me at his father’s touch. My due date was six days ago, and this stubborn child is showing no indication of arriving anytime soon.“I’ve had enough.” I whimper, agitated. “I’m uncomfortable. I haven’t slept a wink in days, and I’m swollen like a beached whale. Look at me.” I complain, gesturing to myself, and Cole lets his eyes wander over me, and he smiles. “What are you looking at?”He blinks, bemused.“You just said—”“You get this baby out of me right now.” I huff, and Cole scratches his forehead, his brows fu

Shayla pulls back and looks up at me, tears flowing from her beautiful eyes. “Did you...” She trails silently, asking me if I had something to do with her killing herself off, and I shake my head.“No, I had nothing to do with that. She obviously couldn’t handle being locked up. The warden did say girls like her are like fresh meat to a hungry lion.” I explain, brushing her tears away.“I did.” I turn and look at Sam, and Shayla frowns. “I may have visited the prison. A guard there is a friend of mine, and when he found out you were my sister, he did me a favour.” He explains with a shrug, stuffing his hands into the pocket of his jeans. “It wasn’t enough that she was locked away, I wanted her to suffer, so I had my artist friend paint a photo of you and Cole kissing on the wall opposite her cell, she’d be forced to stare at it, be reminded every second, of every day that she didn’t break you,” Sam tells her. Shayla pulls away from me and runs into her brother's arms.

“That was a great party. I’m a grown arse man, and I had a blast.” Josh chuckles, sitting back on the sofa, taking a sip from his beer. I smile and nod, looking over at my mother and Shay’s mother directing the kitchen's cleaning crew. Sam comes across with baby Trey in his arms and sits on the sofa with a tired sigh.“It really was. Shayla did a great job with organising everything.” I tell him, and Josh nods, looking over at the baby in Sam's arms.“How’s fatherhood treating you, bro?” Josh questions putting his beer bottle down and taking Trey from Sam.“Tiring man, but I wouldn’t give it up for the world,” Sam admits looking over at Trey curled up on Josh’s chest. “To think I was terrified of ever having one of those, now I can’t picture my life without him.”I smile in understanding. “Yeah, they really do change your life, especially if it's with the right woman,” I state, and both men nod in agreement.“I feel so left out. “Happy birthday, princess.” I croon, looking down at Alaia, who just rose from her sleep. She smiles up at me as soon as she sees me, displaying her two teeth. She’s always so happy in the morning, and this morning was no different. She’s just lying in her crib, kicking back with her hands behind her head. “Good morning, my sunshine.” I pick her up and kiss her cheek affectionately. “Is my baby girl one-year-old today?” We walk out of the nursery back to our bedroom, where Shayla was still asleep. “Let’s go wake up, Mummy,” I whisper, kissing her temple and smile when I see Shayla lying on her front, peacefully sleeping. I crawl up on the bed and lay Alaia down on her stomach, and she immediately crawls over to her mother. I lay on my side and watch as she makes cooing sounds, pressing her hand to Shay’s face, who stirs from her sleep and smiles.“Mm, good morning, birthday girl.” She sighs, lifting her arm and wrapping it around Laia, who tries to crawl over her. We got here not long ago.” I sit beside her, and Cole walks over to Josh, talking to Jo’s dad, Phil. “Did you look in the mirror before you left the house?” Aimee grins, her blue eyes raking over me.“No, why?” I ask apprehensively and look down at myself.Aimee laughs, “You look fucked out, girl. You could have at least run a brush through your hair.” I stare at her dumbfounded and reach to comb out my hair with my fingers.“We left in a rush,” I whisper, unlocking my phone and loading up the camera. “Do I really look that bad?” I look at my reflection in the camera and gasp a little. My face was all flushed, my hair a tousled mess, my lips were swollen, and I had love bites all over my neck. “Oh shit.” I curse, pulling my hair over my shoulder to cover up the love bites.Aimee nudges me, grinning wickedly. Later that evening, Cole and I were sitting on our bed, me on my tablet and him on his, looking through emails. “Do you not think we’re going a little overboard with this birthday party?” I ask, looking away from the tablet to him, staring intently at a document on his device.“No,” Cole utters, typing away on the screen. “What my baby wants, my baby gets.” I frown.“Cole, she’s turning one, she doesn’t have a clue what she wants. She’s not even going to remember this.” Cole looks at me and shrugs.“She’s aware of more than you realise.” He replies, his brows lifting to his hairline. “Don’t you see the way her little face lights up when she sees Moana on the screen?” I smile and nod, “Or the way she sways side to side when she hears the song.”“That is adorable.” Cole nods, smiling, and leans over, puckering his lips for me. I lean in and kiss him softly.“Let’s give our baby girl the birthday she deserves.” Cole mumbles against my lips, and I grin
