"He said it's over… and he vanished into thin hair just like that " Valerie continued, and drank yet another glass of the alcohol she was holding. She raised her eyes to look at the bartender again but the young man gave her the look that he wasn't going to release more.
"Ma'am, seems you look really drunk" He suggested.
"Give her more if she needs more" The man seated beside Valerie ordered and immediately the bartender rushed to get Valerie as much drink as she needed.
Valerie looked back at the man seated beside her, and wondered why the bartender suddenly had such scary look on his face when the man had ordered him to get her what she wanted.
Well, it wasn't any of her business as she still had a lot to think about and not somebody else's. "He says I'm too clingy" Valerie stated, raising her hands above her head, and roughing her hair.
The man dropped the full glass of Pina colada on the counter and stared at Valerie. "He must be insane for looking down on such a beauty"
"Hahaha" Valerie laughed out loud, "He says I'm to never look for him again".
Breathing out, she rested her head on the counter, raised it back up like she was possessed and pouted her lips foolishly, "I need to make him see my worth".
The man sighed. He didn't really listen to the last word she had said, and when Valerie look up at him, she tapped his shoulders. "What about you, how come you're drinking so much?" She questioned, in-between her drunken state.
"Well, just some little things" He only said, not wanting to dive into more details.
"At least you didn't get your heart broken just all of a sudden, I wanted to start up a family with him. We even promised to get married and have a boy first and, and, and" She paused as her tears brimmed her eyes.
"And live a long, long, long life loving each other." She finally completed, after taking the last glass of alcohol she had on the counter.
In between her drunken state, she looked at the stranger with her deep blue eyes and rested her chin on her palm which was on the counter. "Can you make me feel good" She questioned, as the effect of the alcohol was getting the better part of her.
"I can make you forget him all night." He replied, and leaned closer to her, resting in the same position she did.
"I want to. Shall we?" Valerie asked.
"First, pay up the bills"
He smiled. Even though he was a little drunk, he was still very much aware of what he was saying and everything going on. He dipped his hand into his jean pocket and brought out a few dollar bill from his wallet.
"Here, keep the change"
The bartender smiled foolishly. He was desperately waiting to hear that from his mouth all this time, the change was much more than the others he always left behind.
Valerie on the other hand followed him. As they both got to the passageway, an intense kissing between them began.
He suddenly reached for the buttons of her white shirt and began pulling them off. When they had both reached the door, he dipped in a card and immediately, the door opened.
Valerie could only moan in between the kiss. Her legs were beginning to hurt as a result of her heels, and her hair was now scattered as he dipped his hands in it roughly.
"Wa.. wait please" She begged, catching her breath and when he stopped, she pulled off her shoes and slowly sat on the bed.
He rushed close to her as he couldn't afford to spoil the moment between them. Then again, he made her lay carefully on the bed after pulling off her trousers.

Valerie slowly opened her eyes and a ugly almost life threatening headache welcomed her. She held her hair tight trying to process where she was.
Her eyes went round the luxurious room and she was very well aware she could never have been able to afford such a room even with her life savings.
She stared at herself while raising the duvet and immediately her eyes landed on her naked body, memories of everything that happened last night came rushing into her head.
She used her hand go cover up her mouth to prevent herself from screaming. This was all Sam's fault. She had done something she never should have all because of him. Underneath her breath she cursed him trying to recollect the face of the stranger she had spent the night with, but not even a tiny little bit memory of even his face or what he wore was forthcoming, but she was sure if she ever lays her eyes on him again, she would instantly recognize him.
She sighed and when she tried lifting herself up, her hands touched something.
It was a letter wrapped up neatly. Immediately, she picked it up and tore it open reading aloud.
"I hope you were able to forget him and sleep peacefully last night. I really enjoyed every bit of it, but I'm sorry I had to leave this way."
Her hand went to her hair immediate she read the last word. Well, maybe it was best he had left before she even woke up else she might never be able to forgive herself.
Still thinking about last night and how she had foolishly given herself to a complete stranger, one she was thankful was not a thief, her phone suddenly began ringing and Valerie rushed to pick up her phone.
It was her best friend Maya calling, her jaws nearly dropped when she recollected she was supposed to be out working late at the restaurant where she works. She had only planned on taking few hours off to spend with Sam because it was valentine's Day.
She placed the phone a few inches away from her ear in order not to have her ear drums bursted because she knew exactly who Maya was. "Valllllllll" was the next word that came from the phone in a very loud tone.
"Where the hell are you girl, you're so in a lot of trouble with Mr grumpy when you arrive so get your ass right here this minute" Maya yelled so loud on the phone.
With immediate effect, Valerie grabbed her clothes on the floor, and without taking a quick bath or anything, she wore her clothes, picked up her shoe in her hands and rushed out of the room.
"Taxi, taxi" She called rushing down the road to board the taxi she had called.
Once she was in, she dropped her shoes besides her, "Golden Hour restaurant please, hurry." She said to the cab driver who immediately started his engine and zoomed off.

As Valerie walked into the restaurant, she cocked her head first to the left, then to the right trying to hide from her worst enemy Bella.
When she didn't sight the nosy young lady anywhere, she rushed towards the counter to go meet Maya.
She took a seat immediately she got there successfully, breathing fast.
"I called you like a hundred times last night but you didn't pick any." Maya said.
After catching her breath for a while, she dropped her shoes on the floor and sighed. "Something weird, absurd and horrible happened last night and I still find it hard to believe" Valerie replied, causing Maya to leave behind a curious face.
"Look who got here 3 hours late," Bella disrupted, walking stylishly while swaying her hips sideways.
Valerie tapped her forehead, and then rubbed it hard, "Mind your business Bella, and go find something to do with yourself".
"Well, you're being wanted in the boss's over right this minute." Bella replied delightfully, with a grin starting at the left corner of her lips.
Valerie's heart nearly jumped out from her chest when she heard Bella. She was sure it wasn't going to be good and worst part, she had no single explanation to give as she was totally out of ideas.
"Looks like somebody's gonna get fired.." Bella mocked watching Valerie head towards the boss's office.
As Bella turned to leave, Maya was sure to hit her shoulders against hers forcefully causing the young annoying and nosy lady a little pain.

Valerie slightly rasped a knock against Mr Stanford's door and when he gave a loud permission to "Come in" she touched the door knob, swallowed hard, and opened the door.
The frown on his face suddenly deepened immediately he saw her, making Valerie understand he wasn't going to pardon her this time around.
"Are you just arriving?" His cold voice asked, as he adjusted his eyeglasses still wearing that ugly frown on his face.
Valerie wondered why this man never smiled all his life. Not even for once has she ever seen him smile, and she wished she could tell him it only gave him more wrinkles as he only kept a sad face all the time.
"I'm really sorry sir, I" She couldn't complete her statement when he suddenly hit his table hard and loud.
"Another apology again?, Miss Valerie Huston, you're fired! Leave my office this instant" He ordered with a loud voice that immediately crushed her soul.
