6 Years Later:

"Alec, Ethan, wake up, darling. Mama needs to dress you up so you can meet Ady."

Amelia chirps with fake excitement in the silence of a very cold Tuesday morning. She looks down at her watch, sighing at the thought of being late for work for the third time that week.

"Babies, please?" Amelia starts to give up when she barely gets any lucid reactions after ten seconds pass. With another longing sigh, she surrenders.

"Fine, I'm letting you two sleep some more, but promise me you have to wake up in a few minutes, okay?"

There's the shame Amelia knows she'll endure when she arrives at work and judging stares are shot her way by her office mates. All the looks dig deep into the skin of her face.

She leaves the room to pack her lunch and Alec and Ethan's daycare backpack. Since she's working until five in the evening, the sweet omega next to her block, whom she calls Adria, takes on the responsibility of watching her two hearts while she's at work. Adira doesn't really care about the amount of money Amelia pays her weekly, but she always makes sure that she can at least help Adria to survive decently based on the earnings.

A single mother living with her only two sons in a cheap flat located in the middle of a busy and hectic city never thought she would be in the past. But she was happy with her two hearts. She was really scared when she know about not one but two babies are inside her. She knows how difficult it is for single mother to survive in a work culture.

Now talking about her work, she works as a waitress at a big hotel inside the city.

The ratio of omegas woman's to have a place in the working environment is one to four compared to the alphas. Hence, Amelia has to keep up with all the struggles in order to maintain her chance to remain working at the hotel.

The sound of light pitter-pattering knocks Amelia out of her five-minute daydream. She twists her neck just to get a glance of her little boy's slowly waddling their way towards Amelia, who is currently stuffing the last item of her lunch into a paper bag. Alec's tiny hand rubs the sleepiness from his eyes, and a big pout on Ethan's face makes Amelia coo at the adorable sight.

"Hello, my little hearts, good morning." Amelia smiles fondly, and her heart is full of love and pride for having such a healthy and cute son.

"Morning, mama. We are sorry we woke up late again today." Alec said as he snuggled his mother.

"Yes, mommy, me and Ally were fighting with that evil grandma in our sleep." Ethan said and did the same thing as Alec.

The single omega lets out a tiny sigh before smiling and ruffling their soft chestnut hair. Her baby really hates her aunt.

"It's fine, darling. You couldn't sleep last night, and it's not your fault for being so new to sleeping alone. Mama is so proud of you."

Squeaky giggles come out of the two little boys when their mama cheekily pinches their round cheeks; all the drowsiness they had from sleep instantly disappears, making them more energetic than before.

Amelia gets her boy's ready for daycare before leaving her house and grabbling both her boy's hands. She rushes to Adira's home; it takes him a few minutes and a few drops of sweat exuded through the pores of the skin of her forehead until she sees the sweet omega with her famous kind smile is already waiting at her door with brown eyes lit up at the sight of the lovely little family.

They exchange a few warm greetings, and Amelia passes her sons to Amelia and puts her daycare backpack, which is full of children's essentials, at the corner of the door, knowing Amelia will bring it inside her house later.

"Late again today?" Adira asks with a knowing smile.

"Yeah, but what can I say? I need them to try and sleep on their own, so they won't get too clingy later. It's not like I want them to completely separate from me at night, but you know what I mean, right?" Amelia exhales a long breath of tiredness, both mentally and physically.

Adira gives her an understanding look with a hint of sympathy, and it looks like she wants to say something, but whatever it is that she wants to express is covered with a single nod, signaling her unspoken support for Amelia.

"I better get to work now; I'm already late, and I'm afraid I'll miss the bus." Adira bids her goodbye and good luck for work before she leaves, kissing both her kids' heads, who are currently starting to succumb to a deep slumber.

Adira practically runs to catch the next bus; fortunately, the bus station is located within a meter of her apartment.

After a half hour, she finally reached her destination, and she still had 5 minutes left, so she signed and relieved herself, but as she was about to cross the road, she heard some noise.

"If you don't know how to use the internet, then stop wasting my time."

Amelia turns her head and looks at an old woman who looks really pale. She tries to use her phone to order something she guesses with a young-looking waitress who rolls her eyes.

"Hey, are you ok, ma'am?" she asked the woman, and she approached her immediately.

"Hey you, can you take this old woman from here? She is wasting my time." The waitress said this, which made Amelia glare at her.

"Shut up. I will help her with her order. Now get out." Amelia is his, which makes the waitress take a step back.

After the waitress left, Amelia sat beside the woman.

"Who's with you, ma'am? You are not supposed to stroll around without company," she said worriedly.

"I am just looking around, and I felt fine earlier; I just don't know how to order things online." The woman smiled fondly at her and looked somewhere beyond the Omega girl back to make a subtle gesture.

"You have to be careful, ma'am, and you are look badass; just kick that stupid woman ass and leave." Amelia explained while her eyebrows furrowed.

"Don't worry, sweet girl; I'll be okay; I will take care of her," she smiled warmly.

"What do you want to order, ma'am? I will help you." Amelia suggested softly.

"Will it be okay, sweet girl? I might disturb you." The woman smiled and asked.

"No, ma'am, it's ok, I still have time to accompany you." Amelia smiled and unconsciously bit the left side of his lower lip. It's been her mannerism.

The lady stared at her with amusement while she realized that the Omega girl was quite adorable.

"So, you come here often?" she asked.

Amelia nodded with a smile. "I am; I just work at a nearby hotel."

The old woman smiles fondly at the omega and holds her hand.

"Will you accompany me to that store?" pointing to the cafe not far from where they are sitting.

"Yes, ma'am, of course!" Amleia smiled brightly and firmly held the left hand of the lady. While her right hand carried her black handbag.

They started to walk slowly towards the cafe. Amelia helped her sit down in one of the chairs, and she sat in front of her.

"Ma'am, will you be okay here? Will somebody accompany you? I can leave my number; you might need help going home." She says it worriedly.

"Ill be ok, sweet girl. I am meeting my grandson. He will be here soon," she answered.

Her eyes kept staring at the omega girl in front of her. Pale skin, raven black hair, red moist lips, piercing seductive but innocent eves

Amelia smiled at the lady, unconsciously doing her usual mannerism. She felt conscious of the tender yet piercing stares of the lady.

"Uhm... I will be going, ma'am. Your grandson might arrive anytime, and I need to go to work."

"Thank you, sweet girl; you are so good to me. It is rare for people your age to have the compassion you have shown me. Your parents must be proud of you," the woman tenderly responded with her gentle and sincere tone.

Amelia smiled sadly and bowed her head to hide the pain in her eyes. Mostly, she is not affected by anyone talking about.

"Do you have mate?" The old woman suddenly asks, which makes Amelia's eyes' wide.

"No, ma'am, I am a single Omega mother, so you know no one wants me."

The old woman really wanted to hug the sweet omega. "I am sorry, sweet girl."

"Oh, no, ma'am, it's totally fine. My two hearts are my life."

"You will call me Grandma Sammy?" she asked again with a tender smile.

Amelia stared into her gentle eyes and slowly nodded her head. "Yes, Th... Thank you, G.. Grandma... Sa... Smmy," she shyly stuttered her answer because of the emotions that made a lump in her throat.

The lady's face beams with happiness and excitement. "Can I have your number so that I can keep in touch with you if you are not busy? And you can call me anytime."

Amelia smiled and nodded. They exchanged numbers, and she saved it as Grandma Sammy.

"What name will I put in your number?" the old woman asked him with a tender look.

Amelia smiled tenderly toward the lady. "Amelia, just Amelia."

An alarming feeling builds up in her chest, and nerves of discomfort start to run through her body when she smells the dominant scent of an alpha closing their distance from her behind. She hears her name being called, and soon as she turns around, he sees a towering Mr. Jones staring at her with an unreadable expression on his face.

"Umm, good morning, sir."

"Morning, Miss Amelia. Do you know what time it is?"

"10am, sir." Amelia widens her eyes and shakily answers the alpha. Mr. Jones can be friendly when he wants to, but not when you know that he knows that you're crossing the line.

"And when does your shift start?"

"Supposedly an hour ago. I'm so sorry, Mr. Jones. I can explain."

"You can. But not with me. One of our VVIP guests is staying here. So, when your shift ends, you will go serve him alcohol and stay and take his other order."

Shivers run through her spine as Mr. Jone orders her. She apologizes once again to the kind-eyed alpha, even though those soft brown eyes do nothing to cure her uneasiness, before she quickly walks towards the other side of the hotel and starts doing her work.

She just hopes that this VVIP is not as bad as last one. But then she smiled when she thought about the old lady she just meet.

Amelia just hope Grandma Sammy meet her grandson already.
