The next morning, I was already dressed to set out and resume my search for Emery.

I was passing through Noelle's room door when I heard soft sobs. Crying sounds to be specific.

My brows squeezed in confusion. I took a step towards the door, placing my hand on the doorknob, luckily for me, it was opened, she probably forgot to lock the door this time.

I pushed the door open and stopped in my tracks the moment my eyes met her. She was sitting on the bed, her back resting against the headboard as she buried her head in her knees, crying hard.

“Noelle!” I called in a sharp tone and she yelped in shock.

“Malcolm,” she stammered, looking utterly surprised to see me as she began to dry the tears from her eyes. Her eyes were puffy, her face red. A clear evidence that she had been crying.

“What are you doing in my room?? You don't just barge in!!” She yelled, climbing off the bed in a hurry.

“Leave now!” She insisted, pointing at the door angrily.
