When Noelle said she was going to be staying away from me, she meant business. I hadn't seen her for a very long time, and I actually didn't keep count of how long.

I had been so preoccupied with finding Emery, trying to come up with any logic on why she would just disappear, though I came up with none.

It was fucking frustrating, though I was sure something was definitely not right somewhere.

Emery loved me, I loved her. She wouldn't think of leaving me, not on our wedding day.

That particular day, after I got home that night. My brows furrowed, and the thought of Noelle not coming out of her room sent chills down my spine.

The kitchen was just as I left it and I knew that she was not leaving the house. The guards stationed outside would have let me know.

As I walked to my room, I found myself stopping by her room door.

“Noelle?” I called in an unsure voice, knocking on the door, slowly.
