Even though I promised Harlyn that we would be spending the whole day together, I couldn’t keep that promise which was why I was currently getting dressed and making sure not to make any noise that would wake her.

I was woken by a call from one of my beta’s and he wanted to show me something urgently. I wanted him to tell me on the phone but he said it would be better for me to see it in person.

I let out a sigh after zipping my trousers and made my way out of my dressing room. I checked on Harlyn and she was still sleeping peacefully.

I couldn’t resist going to her. I leaned in and dropped a kiss on her forehead. She stirred but didn’t open her eyes and went right back to sleep.

“I will be back in a bit, sweetie,”
