I finally got the chance to communicate with not just Bernardo but my brother too. Even Helaine. They didn’t respond but I know damn well that they heard me. Bernardo responded and he told me that they were coming for me.

I had no doubt in my mind that they would find me before anything bad happened to me. I knew even before I was able to speak with him that they were looking for me. I felt the anxiety and fear in him. I did my best not to show that I felt anxious and scared.

“Why are you so silent? There’s a reason I let you out and you should be doing that.”

Sean scoffed. I resisted the urge to roll my eyes. He initially refused to accept to let me out of the room I had been in. He told me that I was trying to find ways to escape.
