Jax POV

Harold is getting on my last nerve. Does he not realise, essentially, the houses, apartments, money, cars, and everything else are hers? Give it a few months, and she will own his ass even if he doesn't like the way she does things.

I open my mouth to argue and stand up for Dhalia, but she takes the lead. “Business? You said they were personal, rarely used. So where’s the damage in allowing someone to stay in them for a few months until they get back on their feet?” She's not stupid, and he's going to have a hard time trying to make her roll over and follow the rules her stepdad had put into place.

Harold shakes his head. “Because that’s not how it works, or how he did things.”

He's pissing me off right now. “Well, it’s how it works now. Do you have an issue with it? As we don’t, and it’s her choice, so how can you refuse? You wouldn’t refuse if she wanted to demolish them, so you can’t refuse to let her give the space to others.”
