This was bullshit.

“Stop,” Talia said.

“Talia,” Parker said, a note of pleading in his voice.

He’d stopped in front of his bedroom door, across from where he’d left Talia standing, but he hadn’t turned around.

Talia crossed the room and grabbed his shoulder, spinning him around to face her.

“You can’t just kiss me like that and then walk away,” she said, searching his eyes.

Talia stepped closer to him, pressing her body against his. He stepped back, and she followed him until he was pressed up against the door to his bedroom.

He opened his eyes and glared at her. “We can’t do this,” he said.

“Why the fuck not?” she asked softly, leaning into him. “We’re both adults and we both want it.”
