Chapter Twenty-Five

Tally watched as Ryan and his best friend, Noah, raised their glasses in a toast to Ryan’s newly married status. They both took deep sips from their glasses, seemingly enjoying the moment. Noah then turned to Tally, a wide grin on his face, and said, “You don’t know how happy it makes me that you have taken Ryan off the market, Tally.” His infectious grin spread to the rest of Ryan’s family, who seemed familiar with Noah’s playful nature. “Because now us normal guys have a chance to be pursued by women. Because beforehand, when Ryan enters a room, it’s game over for the rest of us.”

Tally chuckled at his joke, but couldn’t help but wonder why Noah considered himself a “normal” guy. He was undoubtedly good-looking, but in her eyes, he didn’t compare to Ryan. Noah was also wealthy and successful. He would tick boxes for a lot of women. Tally could imagine Ryan and Noah going out together during their university days. The thought made her smile.
