“Do you really have to go?”

I laughed and pulled her closer to me, kissing her forehead.

“I have to. I need to make money.”

“You already have so much. Can't you just stay? Get someone else to handle it."

Since the kids left for school, she had been lonely and I knew because she barely left the room, she didn't speak to anyone and her dinner and breakfast was always in the room.

I hated seeing her this scared and I'd told her that it was fine because nothing was going to happen but she didn't listen to me.
