Isabella's POV

As I made my way into the bedroom, I had a hectic day since Rodrigo invited some of his Friends from the other mafia family to come around. It was pretty stressful and I had no other choice than to sit next to the Monster playing the pretend game. She ran her hand through her hair and sat down on the Ottoman. It's been two weeks and still no word from Maxwell about the progress at the station. A lot of things ran through my mind as I wasn't sure what to think anymore. I was scared and wanted him to stop all of this madness but then, that was discouraging. It was the only shot that I had to get rid of Rodrigo for good.

I had to at least try or I am going to be stuck with him for good, playing the card of husband and wife.

I was so lost in thought for a moment that I didn't hear the sound of the soft knock on the door till Rodrigo walked into the room with what looked like a jewelry box.
