Yu Zhen had been sitting on wires ever since Ashley had pulled Ian into that room. He was convinced Ashley would come out crying because Ian was a crazy man on a mission. A small part of him held out some hope that Ian would act normal to his wife but he quickly dismissed that.

Ian was a man filled with determination, focus and sheer will. Ashley couldn’t have come at a worse time. It took everything in his body to not move to that door to eavesdrop on the two of them, but he owed the decency to Ashley at least. He had never listened in on any conversation about her, and he wasn’t about to start now.

“Calm down Yu Zhen, she’ll be able to calm him down”, Kevin grinned, like a fool that he wanted to pummel. This was all his fault. If he had kept his mouth shut instead of calling Ashley, Yu Zhen wouldn’t be praying on behalf of Ashley’s mental health.
