Eros' POV
I glanced at the clock for the hundredth time. I had only just returned to hear from the maids that Dalia left with a friend this morning. None of them could describe who this friend was because they were too busy gossiping about the both of us.I recently hired three maids to cater to her needs so that she could never feel lonely when I am not around. Each of them had their own major duties. The first one catered for our cooking needs, the second catered for our cleaning needs, and the last one worked as her quarter maid. She had qualifications as a nurse, too. They made sure to come to the house three times a week. I threw my suit on the couch. The house felt empty without her fat frame waddling around it.It's only been a week since we came back from our honeymoon. She has been trying her best to adjust to the house and its functions. It was different from what she was used to. Every day, she asked new questions and caused troubleDalia's POV I pressed my ear closer to the door, but my baby bump didn't allow me to go any further. They were discussing something in there and I must hear. "You lied to me," Eros said and I was surprised at the amount of playfulness in his voice. He wasn't angry with her. "I had to! The way you were looking at me… I didn't want my composure to fall, you know." Bethany justified herself. I heard Eros sigh. "Fine. But is it true? And where have you been? I haven't been seeing you lately. There has been a lot going on and you were nowhere to be found." I raised my fist, imagining the door was Eros' face. What was that cliche line? I pressed harder. Are they having sex under the pretext of friendship? "You have a wife now. And we aren't exactly on speaking terms. You allowed her friend to plan your wedding?? I am a bit disappointed in you, Eros. If not for the fact that I have been with you for over twenty years, I would have
Eros' POV We were seated in comfortable silence, watching a silly show when the doorbell rang. I ransacked my brain, thinking of who I was expecting. No one came to mind. I glanced at Dalia who was eating peanuts. The last time I asked her to keep those damn peanuts, she had snapped at me, asking me to mind my own business. She was already shaking her head. Seemed like she wasn't expecting anyone today. It was the weekend. Last weekend we will have to ourselves before work starts. Part of me admired how strong Dalia carried herself. If her protruding stomach was evident enough, I would have thought she was just acting pregnant. The other part dreaded her simple glares and sharp words. It has become worse over the week. She needed no one's help but I saw how grateful she was when the nurse attended to her. She was truly magnificent. Even when she was silent, her face showed curiosity like she was trying to read the meaning i
Eros' POV "Of course I am!" Her bubbly laughter filled the air and I subtly breathed out a sigh of relief. I should end this conversation before it turns into something I wouldn't like. "I will have the maids prepare you something." Betty gasped. She would want to know about the woman who cleans my house every week. "Oh, you have maids now? What about the other woman who cleans the house three times a week?" I sighed, wanting to leave the kitchen. "That is her duty." I opened the door expecting to see Dalia but she was not there. I found her in the same position we left her, chewing peanuts. There was no way I could have heard wrong. She definitely scoffed. I eyed her suspiciously, expecting her vicious glares and cursing under her breath. There was nothing like that. If anything, she pretended like we weren't there. I had just instructed the chef to make Betty her favorite dish when Dalia announced she was
"Calm down, Dalia!" My inner self screamed. What if Eros walked in to see me like this? I was acting like a jealous wife. I wasn't his wife in the first place. Forget all about the wedding shenanigans. We weren't a real couple. Eros is kind of causing me pain and he was quite aware of it. A real pain in the ass. I shut the fridge, almost dropping the water bottle at the sight of Betty leaning on the counter. She startled me. I rather ignore her. She isn't worthy of my words. "I see you are feeding well. You gold digger. I am sure you planned such a sick incident so that you would care for you." Betty started with an evil smirk on her face. The fact that she is here made me wonder where Eros was in the first place. I peeped out of the kitchen. From my angle, I found Eros asleep on the couch. No wonder she is here…There goes yoga for tonight. Betty is acting childish. I don't want her to disturb me. I opened the cap
Third person's POV Emily dropped the phone with shaky hands. She couldn't meet Hera's curious eyes. She was tempted to lash out at the poor woman but she kept her cool. "Why did you keep interrupting? I didn't want her to find out like this. What if she took it the wrong way? I could lose my best friend in the process!" It came out harsher than she had intended. Hera sighed as she rolled over to her side, placing cold hands on Emily's arm. "I wanted her to know she had someone like me in your life. I was trying to help you." Emily shrugged her off. "Well, you didn't help me. I don't want to have fights with you…" she was aware that Hera took the burden of breaking the news to Dalia. Hera quickly raised her hands in surrender. This was different from what Emily saw the times they met. She was cold and harsh but to Emily, her expression and voice softened a bit. For some reason Emily didn't know, Hera had chosen to sleep over
Dalia's POV I didn't know what to reply to my best friend. Am I happy? She should really be specific. "I am not." I finally admitted. There is one person who is making it harder for me. Bethany. "Oh, Dee.. I am so sorry. What are we going to do?" Emily sighed. "What's happening? Did Eros do something bad?" The same voice asked from the background. "Go to sleep, babe." Emily cooed in a calm voice. It was the same voice she used whenever I felt low. Just like now. "Hera?" I made a wild guess. I know she will never tell me unless I catch her in the act. I need to be less judgemental. There was a pregnant pause. "I thought I told you this night is for you alone. Talk to me. Who is making you cry? Eros?" I sniffled as I recalled the incident in the kitchen. "His best friend." "That bitch!" Emily yelled. Then I heard her mutter sorry to whoever it was. She has managed to avoid my questions again. "You know wha

Eros' povI had just snatched the coffee from Isaiah when I saw something that was beyond my control. It was Dalia. This time, she was different. Not the woman who lazed about in my mansion with a gown over her tall frame. From the transparent glass door, she majestically walked into the hallway that led to my office. She was wearing one of the latest West gowns. She must have bought a lot of it not because she loved it but to spite me.Little does she know that I love seeing my designs on her body. If it was possible, I could use her for my next model design. It was a cocktail dress meant for formal events. Her baby bump was barely visible under the tight material and I wanted to know why. What trick did she use this time? Her clean shaved legs glowed as the color of her skin marched with the brown heels on her feet. I didn't like the look of those heels pressing against her swelling ankles. Why did she have to go out of her way to please me?She was as sexy as hell!I was about to a
