110. Second Chance

The atmosphere within the pack had been steadily returning to its usual rhythm of life, a delicate balance of routine and recovery knitting the community back together. However, this fragile sense of normalcy was abruptly shattered when Marcus approached Gideon with unexpected and unwelcome news.

"Talia's at the front gate," Marcus reported, his voice carrying an anxiety that immediately set Gideon on edge. "She's asking to speak with you."

The mere mention of Talia's name acted as a spark to Gideon's already simmering emotions. The thought of her, a person who had betrayed their trust in the most heinous way, daring to show her face at the gates of the pack she had wronged, ignited a fierce anger within him.

Gideon marched to the gate without a word, each step heavy with resentment and disbelief. As he reached the gate, he saw Talia, her appearance of desperation and weariness, totally different from the person who had once been a trusted community member.
