"You Are Nothing,". Angering Adaline.

Then, a plan suddenly popped up in Adele's head and it made her smile inwardly, what a perfect plan! She thought in her head.

Adele looked around the room for something but could not find what she wanted inside the room, without a word, she left the room to God knows where only to return in less than three minutes but what she came back with made Adaline tilt her head in question.

Adele held a long thick rope in her hands and stared at Adaline for e few seconds and said..

"Do you really think I would let you marry the person am supposed to get married to? You are nothing to this family and you don't deserve nothing, you hear me?"

Adaline's head were filled with thousand question as to what Adele was going to do, she was getting too confused by each seconds and with each word Adele spilled from her mouth.

Just few minutes ago, Adele was all nice and was even pleading with Adaline and now she was already back to her arrogant mode, it was funny to Adaline, she narrowed her eyes at Adele when she saw her coming close to her and before she knew what was happening, Adele pushed her heavily to the ground.

The impact of the push made her hit her head on the tiled floor making a loud thud sound, she closed her eyes tight due to the pain, colour drained out of her face but before she could grasp what was happening, Adele straddled her, she held the rope with one hand and tried to hold Adaline's two hands with her other hand.

Adaline finally understood what was happening, she pushed Adele hard that it made her fall backwards, Adaline took advantage of Adele's position and sat up quickly and pinned Adele down, Adele began to struggle but was not strong enough to fight her.

Seeing how strong Adaline was at the moment came as a surprise to Adele, she never had thought that Adaline would be so strong even stronger than her but that never meant she would give up, right?.

By now, Adele was on the ground with her front facing the ground while Adaline hovered above her while holding her to hands together and holding down her head to the ground with her brown hair scattered on the floor. Adele kept struggling but it was useless because Adaline was way too stronger than her.

"What is happening here?! Ada! Stop right now! Stop!!"

Both girls flinched out of shock due to the sudden intrusion, Adaline snapped her head to the door and saw her mother standing with a shocked expression but she moved not an inch and kept Adele in place.

Adele who heard the shout of their mother from the door, she felt relieved and decided to use her mother's appearance to her advantage, she started sobbing.

"Mom!, help me, Adaline would kill me, please, I did nothing wrong!"

Adele cried as she called out to her mother to rescue her, Mrs Freda who stood by the door could not take it any longer and ran to the children, she grabbed Adaline by the shoulder and pulled her up from Adele's body to Adele's relieve.

"What is the meaning of this? Why would you do this to your elder sister?"

Mrs Freda scolded Adaline while she rubbed Adele's back to make her calm down and stop her fake tears. Adaline stood and stared at Adele with too much anger that was sipping out of her being which Mrs Freda nor Adele did not fail to feel and it brought shivers down Adele's back as she could not look Adaline in the eyes.

Mrs Freda felt the anger raw from Adaline and she was astonished that she looked at her intently to make sure she felt it right. For years now, she could not remember when last she felt her mute daughter's emotions and it brought inexplicable pains to her heart. Adaline was her daughter after all, the child she birthed along with Adele, how could she not be sad to see that her daughter was not like any normal person out there. She did everything she could to make her smile, sad or angry and even cry but no results came out of it, Adaline would be like a living stone or was it a living dead and even though Mr Thom never showed it, Mrs Freda knew that he did not like Adaline as much as he liked Adele.

If Mr Thom had a choice, he would never bring Adaline out to the public to taint their name but after the embarrassed incident, he began taking her along with Adele against his own willingness.

But she loved both daughters equally and never liked the situation of the other but there was nothing they could do as they had tried many ways to bring Adaline back to normal but it bore no fruit.

Mom! I did nothing wrong, believe me!"

Adele's tear filled voice brought Mrs Freda out of her thoughts, she sighed and patted Adele's back..

"It's okay Adele, please excuse your sister and I"

Although reluctant, she left the room not after giving Adaline one last look.

"My dear child, why would you hurt your sister like that?"

Mrs Freda held Adaline's hands softly and pulled her towards the bed. Seeing both sisters fight like that was the last thing she wanted.

Mrs Freda knew nothing about who Mr Drew is but if he turned out to be a bad husband for her daughter then she would not hesitate to pull her daughter out of the marriage, she knew of the rumour surrounding Mr Drew but she decided to give him a chance after all, they were all eumours and rumours would remain rumours.
