Khlea’s Point of View
I was just looking at my teammates while we were all holding the cue stick. My friends’ attention was focused only on Allison, who was staring at the cue ball. It stands while measuring how to attack to shoot some balls that are its target.
“What do you think about that, Nishane?” The8 asked with a smirk on his lips. “It looks like our friend will be hit because of that heir. Imagine that Nishane is weak, but Clifford chose him.”
No one answered us, but Allison sat down hard, causing it to shoot its target balls. She stood up properly, then looked at all of us without emotion. “Whatever happens, we don’t care anymore. It’s Cliff’s life. Their life.”
She is right. But even I know that things are complicated for them, so what if Cliff has special feelings for Nishane?
“Allison is right. We shouldn’t get involved in any of Cliff’s personal business with Nishane. There is only one thing we need to do for Clifford—to protect him,” Seven said.
I was a little surprised because Seven rarely speaks or give opinions. Only The8 was loud to us.
I took a deep breath and returned the cue stick to the cue rack. I’m honestly not in the mood to play right now. I also have no plans to go to the Headquarters because I’m too lazy to leave the house. I feel like I have no energy.
I took a cigarette stick and lit it. This area is open, so even if we smoke, it’s okay. I sat down and looked at the vast city lights, which is one reason why this place is my favorite at night. I calm down every time my eyes see this scene.
I smoke.
“What happened?” asked Allison, who had just appeared at my side.
I didn’t look at her. I parted my long, burgundy hair. Wavy, that’s why it had more volume when it fell after I cut it. “I have nothing to say.”
“Come on, Khlea. I know you.”
That’s when I looked at him. “Really?”
“Yes.”
I laughed softly. Of course. Of all the people who know me, Allison really knows my true nature best. What I feel—she can read even with the first glance in my eyes. Unlike her. I can’t read her.
I turned, so that we were facing each other. “Alright. Let’s try if you really know me.”
“You and Cindy broke up, didn’t you?”
I was shocked for a moment but recovered after a while. I crossed my arms across my chest. “How did you know about it? I haven’t told anyone yet. Actually, it’s been less than 5 hours since we broke up,” I said directly. I have no idea how she found out about that.
Allison nodded before turning to me for a moment, then she looked back at the city lights.
Actually, I really don’t know anything and I’m just catching you. You can’t be a problem. You are okay with your family. And lately, you’ve only been thinking about your relationship with Cindy," she said.
I blinked my eyes. “Y-you mean, you don’t know anything?”
“Nothing unless you say so. So what happened?” she asked me again.
I took a deep breath before answering. “It’s boring.”
“Why are you bored? Don’t you love her?”
“I love Cindy, but I’m tired. Because I didn’t think she would repeat what she was doing.”
“Did she cheat on you?”
I shook my head. “No. She can’t do that to me.” I looked again at the beautiful city lights. I felt reassured even just looking at it.
“Where did you get tired of the relationship between the two of you?” she asked again.
To be honest, Allison doesn’t ask questions. That’s why I’m surprised now. What she asks me so many questions. “Why are you interested in my love life?”
Allison shook her head. “I just want to know because you’re not the type of girl who would play drama. Even if you don’t speak, we know you have a problem,” she said. That’s also true because I’m a jolly person.
As long as I can show that I’m okay, I will do it. If I have a problem, I usually only tell them when I’m done and I’ve worked out a solution. “I’m tired because there are times when she just creates an issue so that we can argue. No third party was involved, but she was jealous even during my time.”
“On your time?”
“Yes.”
“She doesn’t know anything about what your real job is, does she?”
“Yes. We can’t tell others, can we?” That’s one of our rules. That’s why it’s hard for me to explain what’s happening to Cindy. I don’t want to gamble anything and say because it’s hard. I also don’t want her to sympathize with what trouble there is with my being a mafia.
“That is difficult. Does she always demand your time?”
I let out a deep breath. “It’s always that. That’s why I got fed up. I also understand her, because if I was in her situation I would be surprised too. I will really ask. A demand.”
Allison nodded. “Maybe it’s better what you did.”
“Are you serious?”
“Hmm.”
The wind blew violently around me. “It hurts for me, but I have to accept it.”
“What are you talking about?” The8 asked with a smirk. She took a cigarette and lit it.
“Nothing,” I answered. I’m sure she’ll just tease me, so it’s better that she doesn’t know anything.
She raised an eyebrow. “Okay.” The8 looked at Allison. “Are you ready for our schedule tomorrow?”
“Kay Mr. Zhen?”
“Oh.”
“Yes.”
“Do you think that one will agree to the deal we offer?”
“Yes. I hope he doesn’t prolong the deal with us. I want to relax tomorrow.”
The8 and I looked at each other. Even if Allison didn’t say it and The8 and I immediately knew what it meant to say ‘relax’. I just shook my head because that’s not really how a person relaxes. Well, Allison is the only one I know like that.
A few moments later, Allson said goodbye to us, which is why I frowned. “Where are you going?”
“I just have something to talk about.” I followed her to the exit where her motorcycle, Velvet, was parked. Allison got on and then put on the helmet. “Why haven’t you come back inside yet?”
I leaned on the doorsill and looked at her. Where are you going?"
Even though he was wearing a helmet, I knew that he was surprised by my question. “Am I just leaving at this hour, Khlea?”
I breathed deeply. “Well, you know that I’m broken-hearted and then you’re going to leave me,” I was still pouting when I told her that.
“Am I your daughter?”
“No, but you know that I don’t want to be left when I’m in this state, right?” She knows that I need someone to talk to when I’m thinking about something, but now she doesn’t seem to remember.
That’s when Allison removed the helmet from her head. “Khlea, I just have something to talk to, then I’ll be right back.”
“Can I come with you?”
“No.”
“Why? Didn’t you say you were just a moment?”
“Yes, but you don’t have to come with me.”
“Fine! If you do not want to, then do not! Take care!” Even though I was annoyed, I didn’t insist anymore because I was just more annoyed with her. I ran back inside the game room and saw that Seven and The8 were talking about stopping when I got close to them. “Have you eaten? I’m hungry.”
“Just order,” said Seven. It stood up. “I am going home.” He didn’t wait for The8 and I to answer until there were only two of us left.
“If you’re waiting for me to suggest what food you can order, well, I can’t suggest anything because I’m on a diet. I don’t want to be tempted. I’m sleepy. Goodnight, Khlea! Bye!” Even he passed me by and left me alone inside the game room.
“Wow! Those are true friends. Things that don’t even concern me.” I just shook my head. I didn’t expect that those two men would sympathize with me because I knew that they didn’t want to take me seriously. They tease hard, especially The8.
I just left the game room and went to the building where we live. I’m in 3rd floor of our building. The whole area is mine. No one can step on 3rd floor because it’s my private place. I have my own house, but I prefer to stay here first because I only remember Cindy when I’m at my house. Here I can be quiet alone.
Cindy and I have been in a relationship for several years. We also went through a lot that I thought we couldn’t handle. But I don’t know why I got tired. Because I wanted nothing else than to be happy in my relationship with him. My dream is to have a relationship that I agree with in everything, but I don’t expect to get bored.
I took clothes from the walking closet. The color pink pajama is what I chose as underwear before I entered the bathroom. I took off all my clothes before I got into the bathtub that I had prepared before I went to the game room. I was immediately relaxed when I felt the warm water. I will close my eyes. Actually, I wanted to call Cindy to say hello but I couldn’t. I can’t be soft. I have made up my mind to end everything with us. It hurts me because I know that he is hurting, but he is not healthy anymore. We need to move forward so we can both breathe.
After I finished taking a shower, my stomach was churning. I can’t think of anything to eat. The fridge is full, but I’m not in the mood to cook. I sat on a chair while thinking of something to eat. Will I cook or order? I don’t know.
A few moments later, the doorbell rang in my unit, which made me frown. I stood up and peered through the peephole to see who would be coming to my unit at that hour. It even surprised me to see Allison outside, so I opened the door.
“Allison, what are you doing here?” I asked her.
She didn’t speak, but she showed me something. She was holding a pizza box. “Seven said you don’t know what to eat. That’s why I bought you out.”
“Are you seven?”
“Yes. I’ve been calling you for a while, but you’re not answering my call.”
“I hid my phone so Cindy couldn’t contact me. Thank you,” I said while taking the pizza from him. “Do you want to come in?”
“Nah. I’m full. I’m going to my unit.” She was about to turn away, but she seemed to remember something. “By the way, block Cindy’s number if you don’t want her to contact you. You know that the phone is important to us, right?”
“Y-yeah…”s
“Goodnight, Khlea.” That was all she said before he turned around and took the elevator.
It left me wondering because I didn’t know why she brought me food. She can not buy me because I know that she is also busy. I closed the door and went straight to the dining table and put down the pizza box. Before opening it, I went to my room and took my phone from the nightstand cabinet. A lot of text messages from my friends and also from Cindy. My heart ached again, so I immediately blocked Cindy’s number because Allison was right. I can’t lose contact with my friends. I just shook my head and let out a violent breath.
I went out to the dining area and took out some soft drinks from the fridge and started eating. I didn’t forget to send a text message to Allison. “Thank you, Alli.”
A DINNER TOGETHERNISHANE's Point of View Being blinded by the light flowing in through the open bedroom window, I gently opened my eyes to wake up. Upon realizing where I was, I scowled. What took place last night is something I will never forget. When I first woke up, that's what I thought about right away. In my heart, a peculiar horror took hold. Again feeling shaky, my entire body trembled.I had the impression that the space where I had been shackled to a chair made of metal and prayed I wouldn't pass away was still there. I've only spent a few years on earth, and that night was the only time I prayed that I wouldn't pass away because I still had so much to do. To save my life, I begged.I cautiously stood up and leaned against the bed's headboard. Clifford, my husband, spat when the bedroom door finally opened. I assumed that he was holding a platter that was filled with food.I gulped quickly out of fear and trepidation. However, I was aware that I had to struggle again
Khlea’s Point of View“You just woke up, Khlea?” The8 asked me when I passed him in the pool area. He was taking a bath and it looked like he had been there for a while.“Hmm. Have you eaten yet?”The8 went up and took the towel that was on the bench. He wore boxers and wiped his body. “It’s been a while since I’ve been hungry again.”I laughed a little. “So, what did you eat for breakfast?” I crossed my arms across my chest.“Coffee and bread, but Seven, he cooked an omelette.”“How about Allison?” I asked. He thought for a moment. “It’s like I didn’t see her eat earlier, but she was at the racing field. Just go if you want to invite her to eat breakfast.” “Okay. Are you leaving later?”“Of course. You also coming with us. The four of us will leave later.”I frowned. “I’m with you.” Although I know that the four of us will actually leave later. I just thought it wasn’t because I’m too lazy to act now.“Of course. I’ll get dressed first.”“Okay. I’m just going to meet Allison at the
HIS REASON FOR ABDUCTING MENISHANE'S Point Of View I TRIED to be as undetectable as possible by dressing up, just as Clifford had advised. The rumors about me spread like a virus even though they were untrue, so I tried to conceal it even more. Yes, it's true that the report about me was false. My mother, who was present, simply hushed up the problem. Clifford informed me previously that my false statement would be released the following day. As it turns out, my mother is responsible for the news about me that is circulating online when I go into my account… to talk about me and prevent fans from finding me.When it comes to news involving myself, I detest being tardy. I'm able to view somehow. My fans are unaware that I also set up a social media account. I'm aware that I've already generated some conversation even though the fake statement wasn't still publicized. Furthermore, I am aware that what they know is that I am just having my vacation and that is the reason why I su
Khlea’s Point of View“Why did you agree to what she wanted, Khlea?” Allison asked me as we left the coffee shop and were walking towards the parking area where Velvet was parked.I frowned. The tone of Allison’s speech seemed to be different, as if she was annoyed. “What if I agree, Allison? The person is already sick. It would be a pity if I didn’t give in, wouldn’t it?”She faced me. “How can you be so sure that what she says is true?”“What do you mean?”“Is it legitimate that she’s sick? Maybe later that’s just her way of getting you back to her. You shouldn’t agree right away until you’re sure.”“Allison, maybe Cindy won’t make up a story just to make me stay. It’s a bad joke to have me. She still has cancer.” For me, such a thing is very sensitive and should not be made into a joke. Cindy has no reason to use being seriously ill as an excuse.“Even so. You should have looked carefully first. What if it’s not true that she’s sick? Then you didn’t divorce her, so she’s fooled you
I AM GOING TO WIN YOUR HEARTNISHANE'S Point of View WE RODE back to the home where the security had me and Clifford detained in an opulent limousine. Since I was still unable to comprehend the words Clifford had left me in the enormous mansion where we had been, I kept quiet as we traveled home.Simply said, I am in awe. I find it difficult to believe Clifford has such a weak motive. He compelled me to become his wife after kidnapping me solely because he desired a wife. I wasn't coerced, in actuality. They told me that we are both married when I just woke up from their scheme. I never got the opportunity to appeal. He had no opportunity to speak with me at all. There was no opportunity to even alert me. That's what I have; I just woke up.How fair is that? Naturally, no.My human rights were taken away from me. I lost my citizenship rights. I lost the ability to make my own decisions. Considering that they denied me the right. Why did they abuse me like this? How could my mum
Clifford's Point of View I HAD NO trouble getting my wife to give up drinking. I feared I might struggle, but fortunately I managed to coerce her into doing what I asked of her. As a talented actress who has been in numerous television series, Nishane is also challenging to control. She probably has a plan for a situation like this, I'm sure of it. I did not, however, intervene when she indicated she wanted to drink more. Why? She chastised me for what I did, so that's why. She claimed that I was to blame for her migraines and emotional distress. She shouldn't be trapped within this enormous mansion, but I did, thus I'm to blame… to make up for my error.Since I don't truly know her, I'll admit that it's difficult for both of us. We don't know each other at all. But I had the time to look into her. That's how I in some way got to know her. That's not all, I'm aware. In comparison to the woman's real life, the portion of her life that was put online was rather limited. Because o
NISHANE'S Point of View WE STARTED giving each other passionate kisses. I am confident that I am not drunk at the moment. I still desire to do it with him, though. I'm not sure why, but I believe that something about him has a craving for my flesh.I adore the way he kissed me, pressing his lips against mine with even greater intensity and desire. It seems like my favorite frozen treats flavor is all I can think about. I covet his lips and kisses.Later, I experienced the sensation of a lightbulb going off in my head. It wasn't right, I was informed, and I should quit. I then came to a standstill.I avoided him, which caught him off guard. We had the impression that our minds had just suddenly opened up. We immediately realize that what we're doing is wrong and that we need to stop doing it, as if something in our brains had clicked into place. We started to feel uncomfortable one of us said. Slowly, we rose up on top of me while dodging each other's gaze.Given that it was the f
NISHANE'S Point of View I FEEL like I'm losing my mind. Clifford is making me insane, and with all of my courage, I can't take it any longer.I have had men before. We can certainly have experience with it in the business I work in. Others are even compelled to do it, especially if the role is extremely obscene or if the tale contains a situation like that. to communicate with viewers more effectively. so that spectators of such a scenario will find it more credible. Since our work depends on where we are from, we must travel. And from my own experience, I occasionally become swept away by the elegance of the surroundings. I work with other vulgar people, so the touches feel genuine. Every time we do that, someone else whispers to me that we ought to keep going in the hotel or at their place. I occasionally send correspondence, but I also do so rarely.I am not in a relationship. Since I don't have a boyfriend and prefer to remain independent, being involved with other men i
CHAPTER 169—Give InKhlea’s Point of ViewI JUST STARED in front of the laptop monitor as I tried to get what I learned today into my mind. It's confirmed! The flashdrive with the keychain that I found inside Luna's drawer does belong to La Tigresa. But Seven hasn't replied yet whether that's what I really meant.I don't understand how I should feel now. Should I be happy because somehow, I have found something that I really want to target in Luna. Or sad because it wasn't enough? I'm confused.I'm here now in my condo. I don't know how to feel right now. It's not that I'm defending Luna but what if Luna had nothing to do with the La Tigresa transaction? Because there is a part of my heart that is protesting and seems to be telling me that Luna doesn't know anything. But I also know that it is impossible that Luna knows nothing about her father's business.I can no longer understand myself. Back then, I really wanted to succeed in my mission, but now, I just catch myself laughing and
CHAPTER 168—Gun & FlashdriveKhlea’s Point of ViewI felt a hand on my shoulder causing me to look back and see who it was. “Seven!”“Hmm. Does it look nice?” he asked as if he read my mind.I faced here. "Why did you leave Allison? That might be necessary,” I said."Don't overact. He fell asleep because of the medicine that was injected into him." He bowed and thought for a moment. When he looked at me, he immediately grinned. "I know what you are thinking, Khlea.""What are you saying?""The way you look at Luna Aballos, there seems to be something different.""Come on, Seven. Even you?""I have trust in you. We. But I hope you don't destroy it." Because of the way it was pointed, it was as if someone had kicked my chest. A part of my heart seems to have been hit by his words.I didn't move. It's like even I don't know what to do anymore. What I do know is that what is happening to me is still part of the plan. I smiled at Seven. "Don't worry because I know what I'm doing.""I hope
CHAPTER 167—Allison's wordsKhlea’s Point of ViewI know that Allison is very angry with me. He is not alone because I feel the same way about it. I also feel bad that we ended up like that. I didn't expect that we would exchange words like that and he looked like he didn't trust me.I know what I'm doing and I don't deviate from the plan. If he notices that I'm getting close to Luna, he should be happy because I'm starting to fall in love with that one. I don't understand why we still have to get into an argument because of his interference in what I'm doing.I'm not young and we're not even in a relationship to explain to myself why I didn't come home. He didn't even know that I had a disease.I was stunned for a while while my car stopped because the traffic light was still red. 'It's up to Allison. It's his fault why I got annoyed with him.' I took a deep breath before waking up when I heard a car horn behind me.I shook my head to clear myself and take my mind off what happened o
CHAPTER 165—Limitation and Boundaries Khlea’s Point of ViewLUNA was carrying two bottles of ladies drink while walking near where I was. When she got close, she reached for one of mine. She sat next to me. We are now on the roof top and can freely look at the vast sky full of stars. The wind that hits our skin is also cold so it is inevitable that I feel cold."Are you cold?"I nodded. “Yes. Why did we go here?""It's better that we're here. I also miss star gazing," she said as she looked at the bottle she was holding. That is also what I did. I also looked at the sky then took a deep breath. I have to admit that I feel better because earlier, I was stressed with Allison. I just tried to accept our answer in my mind. It's up to me if it makes me angry. I'll just talk about it tomorrow when I get home and we meet at headquarters."So what did your friend say? Has it calmed down?” Luna asked when she looked back at me.I shook my head. "Not yet. I'll just talk to her tomorrow when I
CHAPTER 165—Her Real FeelingsNishane’s Point of View"WHAT do you think Olive wants to happen? I feel that she is just making a way to get her Clifford's. I mean, yes. Maybe she really likes Clifford, but I hope she doesn't feel sorry for you. You and Clifford no longer have a relationship. It's been a long time since you two broke up, so if she wants a man who was connected to you then, don't feel sorry for yourself," said Mirae.I told her about what Clifford said this morning. "For me, she is a very frustrated woman. Didn't she think she was beautiful? Rich. Many people will like her. Why does she still want Clifford, right?" Because I'm annoyed. Why Clifford?"Hey!" Mirae called me so I looked at her. "Why do you say that you don't want Clifford to be with her?""Huh? That's not what I meant. I'm not saying anything like that. My only point is, with so many men in the world, why Clifford?""There's nothing we can do if Clifford really wants it, okay? Just you, let her. My point
CHAPTER 164—Talk to him againNishane's Point of ViewI could NOT sleep at night because Clifford was still gone. He left a while ago and left The8 sleeping in the guest room. I shouldn't have waited for him but I was worried so I waited for him to come back to my house. Their luggage is still here. He said he was going to talk to someone but still nothing until I fell asleep for a while. It was four o'clock in the morning when I heard the knock so I got up and went to the door to open it. I immediately smelled the alcohol so I had the idea that Clifford had been drinking. I closed my eyes for a while to condition myself.I rubbed my eyes. The light was off in the entire living room but because of the small lampshade with a light bulb, that was the only light that provided light to the four corners of the house. I can see the bulk of Clifford's body."Have you eaten? I guess you've been drinking?""Yeah. I'm sorry if I disturbed you. Because I remembered, The8 and I's stuff is here. I
CHAPTER 163—Press Conference Nishane's Point of ViewMY heart was filled with anger because the fake news created by Olive spread immediately. I didn't think that her attitude was so bad that she could ruin my business just because she was jealous of me. I can't accept that the business that we worked hard for as friends was just ruined because of her story.I clenched my palms as I looked at the CCTV footage where it was obvious how the drinks ordered by the customers were being made throughout the day. We have experienced CCTV, police and reporters in front of us because we need to clear the name of my business. I was so angry that I had the police pick up Olive from the shop. I thought I was going to have a heart attack because I felt my neck thicken with anger."As you can see in the full video from the CCTV footage, around 8:15 to 9 o'clock at night it is obvious how the drinks are made. Olive didn't come to my coffee shop either and we are looking for the person she said bought
CHAPTER 162—Forgetting Something AgainKhlea's Point of ViewAT FIRST I was very surprised but when I saw Luna's sweet lips that seemed to be teasing me, I felt so sleepy that my eyelids closed on their own.I don't know about such things but my lips spontaneously responded to her kiss. Luna's way of kissing was intoxicating. Slowly and seemingly savoring every moment our lips touch. Luna moved and moved closer to me. I didn't object but I responded to her kiss.Luna's lips moved away from mine so I opened my eyes. Our bodies are still touching today. Luna looked at my face again and brought her lips to my forehead. It was as if a warm palm caressed my heart because of what she did. I closed my eyes. My hands are clinging to her arms."Thank you for coming with me," she said, then hugged me.I'm not sure if the heartbeat I feel and hear is mine. It's like the strength of that.I just smiled at her as she walked away from me. "You're always welcome, Miss Luna," I said. "It's just work
CHAPTER 161—She Kissed HerKhlea's Point if View"ARE you excited yet?" Luna asked me when we got dressed. When we woke up, she told me to get dressed because we had somewhere to go. She didn't say where so I really have no idea.“A bit. You don't want to tell me where we're going." She just smiled at me so I just let her. Our travel time was a few minutes before we got out of the car.I WAS amazed as my eyes looked at the entirety of the yacht that Luna and I climbed on. Luna held my hand because I was a little dizzy from the waves of the sea. There are acquaintances congratulating her. I don't know any of them. Nothing familiar to me.But in the way they dress, complexions will show the luxury of life. There were also male guests who were also talking to Luna and focused their attention on me.I just smiled and tried to hide the nervousness I felt. When a server came by to serve drinks, I immediately grabbed a goblet of golden liquid.Luna and I looked at each other. He frowned when
