AURORA CHAPTER NINE: THE SAD REALITY.
“It’s enough play for today Liam, the sky is getting cloudy it might rain soon. Aurora opened her eyes slowly and the little bundle of joy was snuggled closer to her and he had a bright smile on his lips even in his sleep.“How could someone be so cute?” She muttered under her breath as her eyes continued to linger on his face, she was sure he got his father’s unique features.“Why are you ogling at me, unique eyes?” Little Liam asked as he slowly opened his eyes. He has been awake since but when he discovered she enjoyed staring at him, he allowed her to do her bidding.“Naughty” she replied and jokingly pinched his nose,” what do you want for breakfast? AURORA CHAPTER ELEVEN: THE INTERPRETER II.
It was already past four In the evening when a knock sounded on the door of his study and Malcolm looked up from the work he was doing as his eyes flew to the door. As soon as she was done with the photo shoot, the woman walked into her office and sank on the sofa. The way he barged into Aiden’s made the young director to jolt from tjr work he was doing, Malcolm looked very angry and the veins on his neck were standing out which made Aiden raise his eyebrows in confusion. As the huge doors flung open, her father gave her a reassuring smile before leading her down the aisle. This was it, she was finally getting married to the man of her dreams. As Aura walked down the aisle, her hand in her father’s hand, she couldn’t help but look around the whole church. It has already been a week since the whole incident, Malcolm helped her to get over it a little bit. Even if she was still feeling the pain, she didn’t want to get him worried unnecessarily. Because of that, she buried the thoughts of her family deep at the back of her head. To her, they didn’t exist anymore. Even Ryan was mad when he found out and he vowed to protect her from all of them, he was still her brother nonetheless. The moment the door opened, Aurora gasped in surprise, this man decorated the whole house and her pictures were everywhere. The whole venue was already deserted but Malcolm was still having a little chat with some of his business associates while holding onto his fiancée’s hand. The joy was evident on both faces and their joy knew no bounds.After the last three persons left, a swarm of reporters immediately surrounded them, all in a hope of catching a glimpse of the love between the couple.“How do you feel now that you are engaged sir” one of them asked.“Is this marriage going to last forever? Aurora was a bit nervous, she never had to face so many crowds before but seeing how Malcolm held onto her hands tightly, she felt a sense of comfort and pride in him. “Happy birthday baby” Malcolm said and drew her to an embrace, he could feel her shaking slightly. The surprise was a bit overwhelming for her.“Relax baby” he whispered to her, “I am here okay?”“Why did you do this?”she whispered back to him but he just kissed her on her forehead before gesturing for her to sit on the gold plated chair on the stage.After she sat down, Malcolm turned to the microphone again.“Ladies and gentlemen, you see this woman right here?” He pointed at her with a huge grin on his face, “she came into my life when I didn’t expect and I treated her like trash but she never left my side and my son’s side no matter what. Aurora jolted out of bed when someone splashed a few drops of water on her….Ryan.“Happy birthday sis” he beamed excitedly as he hugged her.“Thank you,” Aurora answered, beaming with smiles. After driving him home, Aurora led him into the house and he slumped on the sofa immediately. His eyes were closed but he was wide awake. Malcolm was waiting for her to say she was leaving but after two minutes and he didn’t hear anything, he immediately opened his eyes and sat up. There she was, also on a sofa and she looked very tired.From where he was seated, Malcolm could see the tiredness and confusion on her face and his heart softened. Aurora was so pure and innocent and he felt like he was the one who tainted her innocence.He was the one who came into her life and brought all his problems with him, he was the one who made her once quiet life filled with noise. Nothing was actually her fault but it was all his fault though.“I can feel your eyes on me the whole time” aurora said from where she was sitting, her eyes still closed.“I thought you would be heading back to the hospital” Malcom defended, part of him wished she would not go but he already knew Aurora and how she pri
