She stared at the woman in front of her with widened eyes. Certainly, Ashley looked very pretty, with perfect body proportion, that was something that Miss Lily knew Ashton Grey was very particular about, fair skin, flawless face and long healthy wavy brown hair.
Miss Lily gaped as she realized the perfect details of Ashley. 'This woman was a perfect muse, like a goddess. She would certainly look pretty in everything,' the manager mumbled internally while covering her gaping mouth.
"Is she... the Golden Ratio..." Miss Lily was about to ask about Ashley's body measurements.
"Yes. She is. I'd checked. I think she would fit size one," Ashton answered confidently as if he was proud about it.
"Well... then it would be super easy to find your wedding dress, honey. We have size one for all the collections," Miss Lily smiled widely and approached Ashley. She excitedly escorted her into the female fitting room, getting interested to let her test all the dresses available in that boutique.
Obviously, the price wouldn't be a problem because Ashley's man was Ashton Grey. That guy was literally the co-owner for almost all the exclusive fashion boutiques in that country and even some around the world. In fact, Lovella Bridals was also one of his too.
Another shop assistant escorted Ashton to the male fitting room and he waved a bit at Ashley before that woman vanished from his sight.
"Wait here for a while. I'll ask Mr Grey first which dresses you should try on," Miss Lily said and left her alone inside the fitting room.
The fitting room was hexagon in shape and a long wide mirror was attached to each wall of the room. Ashley could see her whole body everywhere when she stared at the mirrors. Two minutes later, Miss Lily came back bringing a long garment rack full of wedding dresses. There were a total of ten dresses there.
"These are the ones chosen by Mr Grey. Let's try them one by one and show it to him," Miss Lily spoke excitedly.
Ashley didn't even know why that woman acted so thrilled about her trying some wedding dress. However, it only took her a few seconds to understand the situation, just right after she tried the first wedding dress.
"Oh my God! Mr Grey was right! You did have a Golden Ratio body. It fits perfectly everywhere," the manager felt elated. She scanned Ashley with her face filled with amazement and satisfaction. She walked around Ashley to check every detail of the dress and realized that everything was in place as if the dress was custom made for her.
Ashley felt amazed as well when she realized the fact that the dress fitted her perfectly. There was no modification that needed to be done.
"Wow... this is rare..." She mumbled to herself as she stared at her reflection in the mirrors.
"Are all the other dresses in this size?" She turned to Miss Lily and asked. Miss Lily nodded her head quickly with a wide smile on her face.
Miss Lily opened the curtains of the fitting room and right outside in front of the room was Ashton standing elegantly, wearing a tuxedo. He turned around to see his bride-to-be and was momentarily stunned to see her looking so beautiful in the wedding dress. A little gasp escaped his mouth as he felt his heart skip a beat.
Ashley stared at him, trying to read his expression. But that man stayed reserved and didn't even make any comment about the dress.
"Is it bad? Should I just try the next one?" She asked while making her way slowly towards him.
He felt like a goddess was approaching him as that woman came to him. She stood in front of him and Ashton could feel his chest was getting heavy to breathe. She was just too stunning in his eyes that she managed to take his breath away.
"Should we just take this dress?" He asked nervously, thinking that his heart might stop beating if she tried the other dresses. He got a feeling as if she would take his breath away every single time that she tried a new dress. 'That would be suffocating,' he thought.
"What do you mean, Mr Grey? This is just the first one. Come on, honey. Let's try the next one," Miss Lily joshed at him and went to Ashley, escorting her back into the fitting room.
A shop assistant took a chair and put it in front of the female fitting room for Ashton to sit. As he waited for Ashley to come out wearing another dress, he could feel his heart was beating fast for no reason.
"What's wrong with me? This is so uncanny. I saw hundreds of models at the company, but I never felt this way before. Something about her just felt different..." Ashton mumbled to himself, having a feeling as if he got bewitched by Ashley.
She came out again from the fitting room after a while and showed him the second dress. As expected, she was stunning that it took his breath away again. Third dress, fourth dress and until the last dress, all of them made her look gorgeous as hell and when it was finally the time for Ashton to decide which dress she should wear for their wedding, he couldn't make up his mind.
"You don't like any of it?" Ashley asked slowly. Right now she was wearing the last wedding dress and was standing in front of him. She saw Ashton gulped and he pursed his lips after, looking so stern with his brow knitted as if he was in trouble.
"No, that's not it. Everything just looked so good. I just couldn't decide which one was better," he replied gently.
He walked to the garment rack and scanned the previous wedding dresses. After looking for five minutes, he still couldn't decide.
"How about your opinion, Miss Lily? Which one is better for her?" Finally, he asked the manager.
"Honestly, Mr Grey, if I were to choose, I would choose the most expensive one," Miss Lily said truthfully. As a manager of the boutique, of course, she would choose something that would maximize her profit.
Ashton turned to look at Ashley and saw her expression change. She seemed like she didn't agree with Miss Lily's opinion.
"What is it?" He approached her and asked her slowly, thinking that she might feel uncomfortable to voice out her opinion.
"I just don't like the one Miss Lily chose. It had a lot of diamonds on it and the dress was a bit heavy too. It would strain my chest if I wear it too long," she whispered to him.
"Then, how about you choose the one that you like?"
Ashley stared at him with widened eyes, didn't expect that he would let her choose for herself. If it was her, the choice would be easy. She walked to the garment rack and picked out the most simple dress she found. Then she hesitantly showed it to Ashton and made a faint smile on her face, waiting for his approval.
Ashton saw the dress and his mind imagined her wearing the dress again. Indeed, when he thought about it, that dress could actually give out an innocent vibe in Ashley. Although, they both know she was not that innocent to begin with, still, having her wearing that dress would certainly make her look pure.
"Okay," he approved it immediately without question.
Miss Lily was a bit disappointed, but she went along with Ashley's choice anyway. She didn't dare to force her into choosing another dress in fear that it might offend Ashton.
"How about the wedding ring? Do you want to get it from our collection as well?" Miss Lily asked while taking the wedding dress that Ashley held.
Ashton peeked at his watch and saw that it was almost midday. He was thinking about going to another jewellery store but they should get lunch right now. And later after two, he needed to come home to see the wedding arrangement in the back garden of his villa. The wedding would be held there.
"Ashley, do you want to choose your wedding ring here? Or do you want to go to another store?" Ashton asked her solemnly.
"I don't mind," she replied softly.
Truthfully, she didn't really care that much. She didn't know why Ashton acted so gentle to her as if that man really loved her. 'He can't possibly just fall in love with me after we had sex last night. Why is he being such a gentleman?' Her heart wondered. Even Karl never acted that way with her before and they had been together for five years, yet that bastard had never once mentioned wanting to marry her.
"Alright then. Let's just get our wedding rings here," Ashton decided.
"Great, I'll lead you to our jewellery showroom later. Our new ring collections for this month had just arrived last night and you two would be the first to see them. Miss White can also choose a pair of earrings and a necklace to go along with her wedding dress. How's that sound?" Miss Lily said.
"Sounds great," the couple replied in unison and they both looked at each other instantly.
"See? That's chemistry right there. We're really compatible with each other," Ashton joshed at her and smiled ravishingly. Ashley just chuckled. He stood beside her and pointed his hand at the mirror in front of them, asking her to take a look at their reflection in the mirror. They both looked like a match made from heaven. "This is what we would look like tomorrow," he remarked. "You seriously going to hold the wedding tomorrow? Don't you need like some kind of time to prepare all that?" Ashley felt unsettled by his words. 'Could this man really pull a wedding in just less than twenty-four hours? Don't he have family members or friends that he needs to invite in advance before he holds a wedding?' She wondered internally. "Yes. Why? You're not ready yet? Your ex's wedding day is less than a week. We should hurry up if you want a husband during his big day. Besides, we need to adjust things at home as well since we're going to live tog
After lunch, Ashley went upstairs to the bedroom on the third floor to rest while Ashton and Archer went to the back garden to check the wedding arrangement for tomorrow. They both sat on the chairs while staring at the small low stage decorated with white roses flower arch behind it. Ashton's villa was located on a hill and behind the house was the view of the sea. The sound of the sea wave rushing to the shore gave a calming atmosphere to the wedding venue. "Have you really thought it through this time?" Archer asked seriously. "Yeah... there's no point in waiting. It's been five years. I should move on," Ashton replied. "What if Layla suddenly returns? What would you do then?" "Don't jinx my wedding, Archy." "No, seriously. What would you do if she suddenly returns?" Ashton went silent, collecting his thought over that matter. Layla Jones, that name had been haunting his heart for years. That woman was two years younger than him, hi
Hana was lost for words. They both went silent for a solid one minute. "I... Where's the wedding? I don't think I can come tomorrow. Samuel needs to go for outstation tomorrow for a week in another city and he asked me to come with him. He literally didn't have the heart to let me take care of Max alone for a week," Hana said, feeling guilty that she might not be able to attend the wedding. "He wanted to hold the wedding in the back garden of his house. It's just going to be a close private wedding. It's fine if you can't go. I just wanted you to know. I don't have any other family members to tell. You're the only sister I have even though we aren't blood-related," Ashley replied slowly. "I'm sorry, honey. I really wanted to go but Samuel would be sad if I and Max don't follow him." "It's okay. I understand. I'll send you some photos after the wedding." "By the way, who's that guy again? What's his name?" Hana just remembered that she hadn't asked that guy's name yet. "Ashton Gre
"How did you know him? I mean... he was very low profile to be exact. I have never seen his face before. And I searched his name on the internet just now, they rarely had his picture in the articles. Just a few pictures of his side face but never showed his full face," Hana was weird that it was so hard to find Ashton's full face or full body pictures on the internet. That was kind of rare for someone who was rich and famous. "He was only famous with his name. And he strictly banned the media from publishing any of his full-face pictures to the public, or else he'll sue them. You're right. He's a very low profile person. I met him a few times actually. He always hired Infinite Designs Architecture to do the designs for his boutiques and branch buildings. I guess he just loved our design ideas." Infinite Designs Architecture was the company Samuel worked for. He was one of the senior architects in the company. "Anyway... I can't believe that your non-blood sis
Ashley did as told and about twenty minutes later, she came out feeling fresh and smelt so good. Then, Flora checked her armpits and her legs brazenly."She didn't need waxing. Proceed to do her hair and her makeup," she said to her assistants.Someone escorted Ashley towards the vanity mirror and made her sit on the chair in front of it. Her hair was blown dry and styled beautifully. At the same time, someone was giving her face a makeover as well. Since her skin was fair, they decided to give her a simple and fresh looking face for her makeup.Lastly, she wore her wedding dress and someone helped her to put on the jewellery set for her neck and her ears."Stunning! She's done!" Flora exclaimed in satisfaction while looking at the beautiful bride of Ashton Grey in front of her. The whole stylish team was staring at Ashley in adoration too."We still have time. Miss White, if you don't mind... can we check something?" Sandra said while glancing at
"Nothing..." Ashley replied bashfully. She avoided his gaze and she could sense him staring at her nonstop. She levelled her sight only towards his chest and focused her body to move for the dance. Her mind was in chaos right now. She felt like she needed some time to process the whole thing. Her chest was pounding hard and she felt like having a panic attack. But Ashley remained calm as much as she could because she didn't want to do something that would embarrass Ashton.Only when it was almost four in the evening did the occasion end officially. Ashton was sending the last guest out before he entered the villa again and ordered all the servants to clean up and rearranged everything on the first floor to normal again."Where's my wife?" Ashton asked Martha when he couldn't find her anywhere on the first floor."I saw Madam went upstairs just now, sir," Martha replied and Ashton only took seconds to make his way to the lift, intending to go to the third
Ashley showed a meek expression and shook her head lightly, suddenly feeling scared to answer him confidently. His manhood was still in her hole, still hard, so she knew he was not done doing her yet. She felt timid to tell him to stop at that moment because she feared he might be mad at her.Although he had been acting very gentle to her all this time, she could sense that Ashton was not someone who should be taken lightly. She could feel his dominance whenever he was around her."Then, why are you crying? Is it hurting down there?" He asked gently again with his hand stroking her hair tenderly.Ashley didn't know how to answer him. It was different when she did it with Ashton compared to when she was with Karl. She could act easy and natural when she was in bed with Karl. But when it was Ashton, she felt so vulnerable as if this man could suck out her soul any moment now."I'll make it fast and more gentle, okay?" He whispered those to her as if he was concerned about her sexual pai
"My dad was a known playboy during his young age. He had a lot of mistresses. My mother was one of them, so you see... there was no possibility of getting married in their situation. She was a clever one though, she got pregnant with me, kept the pregnancy and then after she gave birth to me, she raised me for six months, making sure I'm big enough for my father to take care of me alone and then she simply went to meet my father again and demanded money in return for me. They did the DNA test and it was proven that I'm really my dad's biological child, so he paid ten million dollars to my mother and she left." "Why didn't they just get married?" Ashley asked in the middle of his explanation. "Oh, they both didn't want it. My dad wasn't really the type of man that feel enough having one woman. While my mother didn't want to be tied into a meaningless marriage. She rather be single and had her freedom and she rather chose the ten million dollars than stick around to take care of me,"
Ashton didn't care if she was not in her right mind right now. Maybe tomorrow she would probably forget all about it. But what he did care about was the fact that at this very moment, he was finally sure that he loved Ashley so much and that he couldn't imagine his life without her.A smile formed on her face and she wrapped her arms around his neck, clung herself to him and teasingly said to his ear, "I love you too...""My husband is so rich, handsome, kind-hearted and generous human being," she added fondly."That was a lot of adjectives for one person," he joshed."How about adding some more like loving, charming, gentle and irresistible too?" He played along with their witty conversation."That too... But I don't like seeing the other women being nice to you when you're being nice to me...""What's that supposed to mean?" He was confused and then glanced at her that now was just resting her head on his chest, closing her eyes as if talking while asleep."There were some models at
He had married this woman for three months, yet he did not even know that she could not swim. He turned his head swiftly, looking at their pool with his gaze showing a worried expression."From today forward, you're banned from getting nearer to the pool. That was now a restricted area for you. Don't go there. You need to have a swimming class first," he firmly said to her, having his heart anxious now.His mind began to imagine her falling into the pool when no one was around and that thought scared him so much. 'What if she drowns? Gosh, drowning is such a horrible way to die.' That kind of what-if situation began to attack his mind and it suddenly got him feeling paranoid.Martha came to the dining table to refill their drinks and Ashton suddenly gave her some unnecessary extra task."Martha, from now on, you have to make sure my wife doesn't go near the pool, okay? She didn't know how to swim. She might fall in there and drown," Ashton said seriously and that made the servant stun
Hana, along with her husband and their baby finally left the villa after bidding goodbye. Ashley still pondered over Hana's words in the living room even long after that woman had gone. She just sat there on the sofa alone while staring at the floor. Her husband had gone upstairs to take a quick shower and changed his shirt because the smell of barbeque stuck on him. 'Appreciate what you have,' that was the one that kept repeating on her mind like a broken record. She did not know how long she had been sitting there, but the lights in the living room were suddenly turned off by someone. "Are you going to sleep there?" Ashton's voice came from behind her. She turned her head around only to find him standing behind her, leaning his body closer and wrapping both his arms around her shoulders. "You smelt good," Ashley said softly, having her nose got pierced by the exquisite scent of the expensive body gel Ashton usually used. "And you smelt barbeque, I wanted to eat you," he replied h
Karl whimpered even more. He had the back of his body resting over the edge of the bed while he sat on the floor. But now he felt his whole body trembling and getting fragile. In seconds, his body slowly fell to the floor, just lying there like a melted jelly. The floor got wet from his tears and the empty red wine bottle that he held was released, lying flat on the floor just like him. "I want you back... I want you back... Tell me how to fix this..." he whispered hoarsely to her through the phone. "You... can't... There's no way to fix this. We're really... over this time," Ashley found it hard for her to speak properly while holding her tears in. "I want you back..." Karl kept repeating those words to Ashley like an insane person. He just stared blankly towards nowhere while his hand gripped his phone hard as if that was the only way he could reach Ashley. Back then, when he decided to marry Lucia, he thought that maybe someday, Ashley would still come back to him, willing to b
There were some drinks inside the limo and Ashton's hand reached for the bottle of whiskey. He poured some into a glass and drank it. He gestured his eyes asking Ashley if she wanted some, but she shook her head. "I invited Samuel and Hana to our house tonight for dinner," he said, and then gulped the whiskey in one go. "You did?" Ashley responded rhetorically. They were quiet again, having nothing to talk about. Ashton still staring out of the car window, pondering over the things that happened at the clubhouse. He kept pouring himself the whiskey until it was the fifth glass. Ashley stopped him from pouring more. She had never seen him drunk before and she was scared to see him losing his conscience, so she stopped him before he did. If she was not there, he would probably be going to drink more because he felt like this was a day where he needed that. He tried to act like he was unbothered by what kind of relationship Ashley used to have with Karl. But it was really hard because
He was well aware that all his family members pretty much still loved Ashley like she was part of the family. But she was now married to Ashton Grey. Karl did not want to offend that man in any way so he tried to hinder his mother from speaking with Ashley too much. "Why didn't you tell me that Ashley was coming? She should have sat with us in the front row before. She was part of the family," Lily reprimanded her son immediately. "Mom, she-" "How terrible were you to do this kind of thing to her. I helped raise her like my own daughter and now you just threw her away for a richer woman," Lily cut her son off. She was so disappointed that Karl did not end up with Ashley. "Mom, I-" "Shut it. Ashley, let's sit with us. The others will be so glad to see you again. You haven't come to our home for like months. We all had missed you very much, dear," Lily grabbed Ashley's wrist and tried to bring her to the table of Karl's family members. "Mom, don't..." "Aunt Lily, I can't..." Ash
"I thought you were over him completely," Hana approached Ashley with two glasses of champagne in her hands. She gave one to Ashley. "Where's Sam?" Ashley asked and Hana pointed her finger at one corner of the hall showing Samuel was having a casual talk with Ashton again. "They both seem to get along quite well," Hana commented about their husbands. "You think so?" Ashley responded unconsciously and Hana nodded. The two were silent while watching the wedding couple dancing. After they both finished the champagne, they put down the glasses on the table and started chatting again. "Do you think what Ashton did back there was too much? Too harsh maybe?" Ashley brought up that topic. She wanted to hear what her close friend would think about it. "Can you even blame him? It was harsh a bit I guess, but I think if I were in his position, I would do the same too," Hana replied. "Why so?" "He might look fine, Ashley. But a husband is a husband after all. At one point, even though you
Having sensed that Ashton was picking on Lucia, Karl changed his target instantly and pleaded to Ashley instead."Ashley, please save my face. I can't have this important occasion cancel. My family would be embarrassed if that happens," Karl said beggingly. But Ashley looked away from him instantly and refused to get involved. She glanced at her husband and she could feel a domineering aura emerging from him again.Seeing Ashley ignoring him, Karl finally turned his body and looked at his wife with a mad expression. He could not believe that Ashley would give him a cold shoulder considering that they had known each other for so long and even used to have such a special relationship before. But his heart convinced him that it was his fault to begin with and maybe this was how karma worked on him."Apologize to them immediately," he ordered Lucia and that woman seemed reluctant again. But Karl grabbed her arm harshly and pushed her forward to face Ashton and Ashley.Lucia could feel as
"If five years with me could somehow mean nothing to him now, what makes you think that he would value a five years marriage with you? I really hope you pass the five years of marriage crisis you going to have with him later. And if you did happen to pass it, then I'll congratulate you once again for your marriage," Ashley ended Lucia smoothly."That's it! You need to leave," Lucia was really pissed off by Ashley's words. She did not know how to retort to it, so she took the easiest way to solve it, by trying to get rid of Ashley and her partner from the wedding event."Oh, I wouldn't do that if I were you..." Ashton remarked calmly, ignoring the glare Lucia gave him. Instead, he just stroked Ashley's hair lovingly and only had his eyes focused on her."Excuse me? This is my wedding, I rent the whole clubhouse for me to enjoy my big day. I would never compromise your disrespectful behaviour towards me and my husband on our big day. This is unacceptable. How shameful of you to be stubb
