Chapter 7

As soon as Diego dropped the call, he turned to face the Director who had submitted the proposal. Everyone was sure he was going to fire him moreover, six directors had been fired ever since he took the President position.

"I want a new proposal before the day ends," Diego said as he stood up and stepped outside.

The director in person fell to the ground, relief coursing through his veins as his other colleagues helped him up while congratulating him on not losing his job. 

Only in Rodriguez Corporations would you congratulate someone for not losing their jobs.

"Send Gabriella's picture to the bodyguards and securities, whenever she's coming over, no one is allowed to stop her" Diego said as his secretary nodded.

'Is Miss Gabriella coming today?" he asked as Diego continued walking in long strides.

"Probably" Diego replied as he walked into the office.

"Set up the online meeting with the branch in Vietnam," Diego said as his secretary nodded.

"On it sir" he replied.

Mona burst into laughter while holding her stomach.

"Are you kidding me?" she asked as

Gabriella  wore a proud look.

"Nope, I'm not kidding you" Gabriella  replied as Angel  shook her head with a small smile on her face.

"No wonder she couldn't concentrate on teaching throughout the whole class. She kept on making mistakes and glancing at you" Mona said as Gabriella  chuckled.

"I still don't know what Diego said to her," Gabriella  added, laughing lightly.

"I mean, her ears were red and she was blushing... damnnnnnn" Angel  added as she also burst into laughter.

"That's a given. I had red ears the first time Diego spoke to us. That voice of his is enough to make one pregnant please" Mona said as Angel  glanced at Gabriella .

"But Gabriella isn't pregnant yet" Angel  said as the trio burst into laughter again.

"Are you going to his company?" Mona asked as Gabriella  nodded her head.

I should go. I need to pick up a few things at the old house" Gabriella  replied as Mona and Angel  started cooing.

"Awwwnnnn" Mona cooed as Gabriella  shook her head getting into the car as Mona and Angel  continued walking.

"I'm so happy for those two. I am reminded of how lucky Gabriella  is each time Diego helps her. And he's so manly when supporting and getting justice for Gabriella " Mona said as Angel  laughed.

"Now do you want to tell me why exactly you wanted to attend Physiology class yesterday?" Angel  asked, raising an eyebrow as Mona wore an innocent face.

"I told you, i was really curious what the class looked like" Mona replied evading

Angel 's eyes.

"We are engineering students, if you wanted to attend some mathematics, or computer based class, i mean that's cute but you wanted to see how a medical course class went, that's out of it" Angel  replied as a weird smile crawled up her face.

"Here is the thing, you didn't listen to one bit of the class yesterday, I doubt if you even remember the color or the outfit the professor was wearing. But I am sure you would even remember if Kante Douglas' hair flipped to the side" Angel  added as Mona stared at her wide eyed.

"Angel " she called out blushing miserably while Angel  burst into laughter.

"Did you think I wouldn't notice?" Angel  asked.

It was enough that a serious minded person like Mona wanted to attend a class that absolutely had enough to do with her or her course. And it was finally that out of all the lecturers that taught that class, Mona already knew who was taking the course that afternoon and had even picked one of the best seats to see the board.

It wasn't until the class got to the middle that Angel  realized that Mona's attention wasn't in the class at all and that she was looking somewhere else. After tracing her eyes a few times, she finally realized why Mona had wanted to come to the class in the first place.

Not wanting to ruin her best friend's lovely dovey time, she didn't say anything till the next day.

"You........ Angel  didn't get to complete her statement when a hard ball hit her in the head and Angel  let out a low hiss as she immediately bent her knees crouching to the ground, She could hear whispers of apologies here and there.

Watching the row of boys that jogged out of the basketball court, Mona was annoyed seeing as the boys jogged towards her.

"Are you guys in your...." Mona didn't

get to finish her statement upon seeing the boy standing in front of her.

"Is she okay?" he asked in English with an Asian accent accompanying it and Mona found it unable to say a thing.

Angel  rubbed her forehead as she heard Mona wanted to cuss but stop halfway. 

Her forehead had immediately swelled up due to the hard impact and seeing the high end limited edition sneakers that appeared in her front, she raised her eyes to meet a rather very familiar eyes standing in front of her. Now she knew why Mona couldn't speak, she couldn't speak either. She swallowed her saliva as he dropped her head to calm her racing heart.

"Are you okay?" the boy asked as he crouched down as well.

"Do I look like I am okay?" Angel  shot back at him, feeling the swelling even swell up more. She was so scared to reveal the swelling. The boy tugged on her hand to see her head swelling and Angel  sucked in a short breadth.

"Get me an ice pack" the boy told someone as he met Angel 's unfriendly eyes. In his own existence, it would be the first time someone would look at him with such eyes. Everyone liked him and wanted to curry favor with him, what was wrong with this girl's eyes.

"I'm sorry" he said softly as Angel  sneered.

"If sorry would reduce the swelling then you should continue saying it but if it wont then i don't want to hear it" Angel  said as she stood up and stretched back to her full length while Mona led her to a seat to sit down.

'Where's the motherfucking ice pack?"

Angel  asked through gritted teeth.

"Angel , you just snapped at Lu Fenji" Mona whispered as Angel  glared at her.

"Do you think I wanted to?" Angel  asked as she rolled her eyes.

"You don't know them?" a boy asked

Fenit and the latter shook his head.

"There are just ten girls in Mechanical Engineering and they are part" the boy replied as Fenji nodded.

"Oh" he muttered quietly.

"They lead the class" the boy added as

Feni finally turned towards him.

"Ha?" he asked and the boy laughed.

"Yes. From year one. They are three actually, Gabriella , Mona and Angel " the boy replied.

"Gabriella  has been leading the class since Year one and most times Mona and Angel  follow behind her. Gabriella  is almost like the anti-social one. She's a pauper  who got into the school with four different scholarships and she still gets scholarships. Works in about three places outside school" the boy said as Fenii raised an eyebrow.

"And she still leads the class?" he asked as another boy nodded.

"Exactly. That's why she's so popular" he said.

"The person your ball hit is Angel . She's the captain of the tennis team and under her, we have about six trophies""Tennis team?" Fenji asked.

"Don't be deceived by her fragile look, Angel  takes judo classes, that's why her skin didn't tear off with that kind of throw and it swelled up instead" 

"Judo?" Fenii asked again.

"Her friend is Mona, the friendliest of the trio. She quite has a lot of friends, once ran the school blog or rather i think she still runs it anyway but Mona is no joke. You mess with either of her friends and she comes for your neck" a boy said as the boys burst into laughter.

"The three girls are very popular and posts related to them always pop up once in a while. A lot of guys have tried to chase them but well, you know the result

"There's a rumour saying that Mona is chasing someone in the Medicine

Faculty, she was even there for a class yesterday"

"Wow"

"Is your information reliable?"

"Didn't you hear the rumor just now?"

"What about Angel ?" Fenji asked.

"You like her?" his friend asked, nudging his elbow as Feni turned back to the girl who was placing an ice pack on her forehead and muttering things to her best friend. She was the reason why he missed the ball and ended up throwing it towards her in the first place. Her eyes were really pretty.

"So you like her," his friend muttered without waiting for his reply.

"Honestly, Angel  doesn't look like she likes you but you are popular and with this face I'm sure she can't resist you.

Don't complain too much if she beats you up" his friends said as Fenji walked towards the two girls, crouching beside the chair as he collected the ice pack from Angel  and placed it on her forehead slowly.

'I'm sorry, ' Feni said as he turned to meet Angel 's widened eyes.

*I'm saying I'm sorry now because I'm holding the ice pack and the ice pack will make the swelling go down" he added and Angel  found herself chuckling while Mona chuckled.

"That ice pack would soon be spent.

Let me get a smaller one" Mona said as she tactfully stood up and left the duo laughing brimming in her heart.

"I heard you practice Judo," Fenji said as Angel  raised her eyebrow at him.

'You won't beat me bah?" he asked as

Angel  chuckled.

"You want the modeling company you work for to come for me bah? Or the bog brands you model for to come for my neck?" Angel  asked as Feni raised an eyebrow at her. Very few people knew that he worked as a model for big brands.

"Wow," Fenit muttered.

"What's wow?" Angel  asked.

"Your eyes," Fenji replied.

"What's with my eyes?" Angel  asked, her heart already beating out of control.

"They are beautiful"
