Xavier's POV: We get home and I carry the twins in my arms as Christine walks with her mother's finger in her hand. I put the twins to sleep for the night and Dionne does the same, as it's already eleven. I walk in the room and I take my tux jacket off, then I loosen my tie, pulling it off and unbuttoning my shirt and taking it off. I sit on the bed, running my hands through my hair, stressed out, and I feel Dionne's hands and lips on my back. "I'm sorry. About me bitching in the car. I'm just stressed and ... pissed off. There's someone playing around with my money and I don't take that lightly. I'm just stressed. Pent up." I say, rubbing Dionne's arm that's draped over my shoulder. "Let me help you, then." she replies, still kissing my back and neck. "No, baby. We've already been through this. I can't stop once I start, you know that. And anyway, I'm not doing that again.I hurt you last time." "I was fine." "You were bleeding." I retort. "Yeah, but it was only because I wasn't
2 months later I wake up in the middle of the night next to Dionne, her body wrapped around mine as my head rests comfortably on her breasts. She sleeps and breathes peacefully, her hands resting in my hair, so I don't bother to move. My phone starts to ring, so I pick it up, staying in place so not to interrupt Dionne's rest. "Hello?" I say tiredly. "You don't honestly think it's over, do you?" he says. I sit up urgently, Dionne's thigh resting on mine. My hand grips her thigh as I listen. "Who the hell is this?" I say, my eyes darting everywhere. "You figure that out. Until next time." Then the phone call ends. What the fuck was that? "Baby, what's wrong?" Dionne says sleepily, rubbing my hand that grips her thigh. I loosen my grip and I look back at her as she opens those beautiful grey eyes. "It's nothing, babe. Go back to sleep, alright?" I say, kissing her softly. "I'll be back, okay?" I say, rubbing her thigh. "Where are you going?" she asks, sitting up and sitting on m
Dionne's POV: For the last three weeks, Xavier's been keeping me and the kids inside. I've been with Camara and Z most of the time because Xavier's constantly working, trying to target whoever's sending these threats. He comes home every day, more and more pissed than the day before. They can't get anything off these notes and phone calls. On the bright side, our wedding's still being put together. Me and Xavier hired the best wedding planner out there and based off of what she's sending us, it'll be done in the next five months if we're lucky. On the other hand though, I don't know if we'll be past this by the time the wedding's ready. I mean, I can't get out of the house long enough to even breathe in some fresh air, let alone get a wedding dress. The good thing is, there haven't been any threats for a few days, so I guess that gives me hope. Xavier still thinks it isn't safe though, and I agree. Xavier barges in the house, going upstairs to the room as I sit next to Camara and Be
I walk downstairs, waiting for Amber and I look up and Xavier's looking at me with a stern glare. "What?" I say, looking back at him. "You're not going out like that, are you?" he says, looking me up and down. "Uhm .. yeah." I say, smiling. "No. Take it off." he says, walking up to me. "Why? What's the problem?" "Look in the mirror." he says, pointing to the mirror. I step in front of the mirror hanging by the door, and I look at myself, shrugging. "I look fine." I say, laughing, while staring at myself. "No. First of all, these." he says, walking up behind me and grabbing my boobs. "Babe!" I say, giggling. "What's wrong with you?" I add. "These shouldn't be visible." he says, pulling my dress up to cover them. "Xavier, I look fine, stop it!" I say, still laughing. "Now you're showing your ass." he says, looking at my ass and sighing, rubbing his forehead. "Xavier, I'll be fine." I say, pulling my dress down and kissing him as he pulls me into him, firmly gripping my waists
Xavier's POV: I'm angry. Furious. I knew some shit would go down tonight, and I let her go anyway. I knew I should've listened to my gut. It's never wrong. Ever. I hang up the phone and I grab my keys and a gun. I walk downstairs and Kay, Z, Mark, and Mara see the gun in my hand. "Who do we need to kill?" Z says, standing up. "You're not killing anybody." Mara says, grabbing his hand. "Camara, you know me and Xavier's bond runs deep. I'm gonna step in if he's in a mix. I always have and I always will. He goes down, I go down too" "That's pretty selfish. You can't put your life on the line like that when you have a family to worry about, Zeno." she says, scolding him. He kisses Bentley and Mara's head and he stands up straight. "I didn't mean to say it like that. Listen, I love you, but I'm always gonna stick with my brothers. I'd do the same for you and our daughter. But I need to help him any way I can." he says, pleading with her. "Zeno, I don't wanna drag you into a murder mi
Kayno's the only one who doesn't get in the car right away. He all of a sudden pushes me and my calm demeanor quickly turns to anger as I push him back. He pushes me again and I jerk him up by his shirt. "What the hell is wrong with you, huh?!" I say, jerking him up further as I say it. "No, what the hell is wrong with you, man!" he retorts, pushing himself from my grip. "What the fuck are you talking about?!" I say, confused. "You, man! In the club! What was that?! Do you know you've just started a war with two families, Xavier! Three including your own! You're such an idiot, and it's all because of her!" he yells, pointing to Dionne as he looks into my eyes. "Watch your fucking mouth. That's my wife." I say, squaring up to him. "This marriage was supposed to be something that just happened. You were supposed to still be you, but that's not what she's done to you. No ... marriage made you a fucking fool. You're signing off different shit and brushing different problems off your s
Dionne's POV: Xavier slowly goes to the door and he takes a deep breath before opening it and pointing it at whoever's at the door. "Xavier! Hi!" A woman with silver hair and green eyes, red cheeks, and braces comes in and throws herself onto Xavier, hugging him. Now jealous and angry, I back away from Xavier and I clear my throat loud enough for everyone to hear. As the girl giggles, Xavier putting her down, she looks over to me and gasps. "Oh .. my gosh! You're his fiance!" "Yeah, and who are you?" I ask. "Dionne, meet my cousin's girlfriend, Star. Star, meet Dionne. You already know what she is to me, obviously. She's really friendly, but she's a beast on the inside. Only when she has to be of course." Xavier says, introducing us. I flush red at my mistake. "I'm sorry for pouncing on him like that. It's just been years since I've seen him. Rome come in, it's cold outside!" she says, waving some guy over. He has a white streak in his jet black hair, and he has tattoos all over
4 months later ---- "Oh my god, babe, guess what!" I say, squealing and shaking with excitement. "What is it, love? Did your dress come in?" Xavier guesses. "No, that's tomorrow. Guess again." I say, climbing onto his lap in anticipation. "I dunno. Tell me." he says locking his fingers together behind my back, holding me in place as he grins at me. "They're finally finished with the venue and setting up the wedding! Can you believe it?" I say, kissing him in excitement. "No way." he says between kisses. "Yes way. This is actually happening!" I say, rolling over and curling into a ball of happiness. "I know. I actually can't believe it. We're getting married." he says, placing soft kisses on my lips. "Yep. Three more days." I say, smiling hard, pulling his lips to mine as he climbs on top of me and in between my legs, laughing. Suddenly there's a knock on the door, pulling us apart. "I'm going to the grocery store for the kids, you guys don't mind them coming, do you?" Kinsle
