Chapter 6 : "I See You Everywhere"

 The storm subsided around six o’clock in the morning. From zero visibility finally they could clearly saw what was happening. Adam did not sleep again. He stayed at the tent and let the two ladies fall as sleep because of tiredness. He got up and checked outside. To his surprise everything was a mess. Good thing they set up their camp far from tress or else the storm my cause severe damaged.

“Good morning, Major”, greeted Lt. Dan.

“Good morning, Lt. Dan”, Adam responded.

“the storm destroyed almost everything”, Lt. Dan stated.

“the tribe needs our help this time, call the attention of everyone. This can be a great opportunity for us to help them”, Adam stated.

“copy Major”, Lt. Dan answered.

He immediately visited every tent and ordered them to got up and prepared themselves.

“everyone get up, there is a whole tribe needing our assistance”, ordered Lt. Dan

“I am still sleepy, we haven’t slept the whole night”, protested Angel.

“that’s an order lady”, Lt. Dan replied.

“prepare every medicines and medical tools, those who are assigned to cook, prepare a big meal”, Lt. Adam added.

Left with no choice everyone followed the order. From the distance they could saw the horrible sight of the village. Every nipa hut was destroyed. Almost of the villagers were looking pale because of cold and wounds.

“oh my goodness”, uttered Des in compassion.

“this is our time guys to do what we came here for”, Myla stated.

The soldiers set up the camp for the tribe, good thing they brought extra tents. The volunteers were divided into three. Some prepared meals, the medic team started to put first aid to the wounded and the rest took good care of the children.

The sultan was badly wounded. The old shaman was nowhere to be found. The whole tribe looked for her but failed. For the very first time the villagers and the volunteers were united. Even the language became a great challenged but the genuine gestures from everybody made everything easy.

Adam was watching from the watch tower. He can saw everything that was happening. He felt joy at that moment. His eyes looked around and found himself looking to the woman who looked so stunning while putting medicines to the wounded villagers. Adam noticed that her eyes were shining. It became full of life. Her gestures show great compassion towards the poor tribe. She became alive.

Adam did not notice that he gazed at her for almost an hour. He was just interrupted when he heard some footsteps.

“good day, Major”, Lt. Aliyah greeted.

“good day, Lt. Aliya”, Adam replied.

“everything is done, we made sure that the surveillance cameras where everywhere”, she reported.

“good”, kindly set up another tent where I can monitor everything”, Adam ordered.

“copy sir”, Lt. Aliya replied then leaved.

“you were never wrong when you chose your profession Doc. Kris”, Alfe uttered.

Kris just smirked and continued what she was doing. She was preparing for the next batch of patient. While Alfe just stared at her and watched all that she did.

“your presence made me uncomfortable Doc. Alfe, can you proceed to your station plz?”, Kris protested.

“oh am done, I came here to assist you”, he replied.

“Marga is with me, am all fine”, Kris added.

Alfe did not listened. He got up instead and tried to grabbed some medicines that kris was holding to helped her. Unfortunately, Kris did not give it to him but he insisted even more. The two made commotions that made everyone looked at them.

“just love quarrel guys”, Marga announced.

“can you please, let me help you”, pleaded Alfe.

Kris did not respond. She was pissed off and felt embarrassed. She tried to walked away but Alfe blocked her way.

“Kris, please, can you listen to me just for once?”, he asked.

“I wanted to help, you look tired, you needed help”, he explained.

Kris didn’t say any words, she tried to move forward but Alfe got aggressive. He grabbed the hand of Kris and hold it tightly. Angel was about to got up but Myla stopped her.

“let them solve that megs, they are both adults”, said Myla.

“obviously she was hurting her, can’t you see?”, Angel protested.

“no, she is hurting him even more”, Des just smirked.

Alfe looked stupid while Kris played numb. Kris tried to move forward again without saying any words, then as Alfe was about to blocked her again, they heard a voice from behind.

“what is going on”, asked Adam, his eyebrows furrowed.

“this is not the place for Public display of affection Doc, if you want, get some private place not here. You are interrupting the whole operations here”, Adam sarcastically commented.

Alfe turned his face towards Adam and bluntly said, “your job is to protect us not to intervene with our personal issues”.

Adam smirked and replied calmly, “my job is to maintain peace within my perimeter Doc., as I said the two of you can talk privately whenever you want”.

“it is not getting good, do something Des, Alfe is acting weird”, Myla suggested.

Des got up and tried to intervene.

“Doc. Alfe I need help, can you help me?”, Des requested.

Alfe looked intensely to Adam. He looked back to Kris with disappointment. His eyes were sorrowful. Then followed Des to other camp.

“proceed to your station”, Adam ordered kris. He was really annoyed by the sight he had seen. For no reason he felt some rage within him.

Kris did not utter any words and followed his command. Evening came and everyone were all fine. The tribes were very grateful to the volunteers. The sultan bowed many times as his gestures of gratefulness. While everyone was eating dinner peacefully. The shaman appeared. All the tribes got up and bowed to her as a sign of great reverence.

“nagpakulaw lng kamo”, shouted the Shaman.

She looked so angry by the sight she had witnessed. Then, sultan got up to console the old woman and tried to explained everything but before he finished his statements, the shaman punished him. His soul was tortured from within. He shouted in agony. The soldiers got up to helped but the other tribe member warned them not to do anything.

The peaceful placed turned into horror. The tribe was shaken in fear. They knew what the shaman was capable of doing. Everyone felt powerless as they watch the old man shouting in agony.

“stop”, Kris ordered the shaman.

Everyone looked at her. She moved towards the shaman, hold her hands and looked at her eye to eye. Then, the cold breeze embraced the whole place. It seems liked the two women have two powerful spirits that was fighting but was unseen to human eye. The shaman suddenly knelt down on the ground and was breathing heavily. Then kris remained standing, she didn’t move, her eyes where field with fear, agony and tears.

No one dared to moved, everyone was shocked. Even Adam was completely overwhelmed. He had never seen anything like that before, not even to his worst battles. Then the shaman got up. As Adam got his senses backed, he immediately covered Kris.

“buang”, the shaman burst in laughter. The shaman knew that human kind were powerless. She laughed out loud. Her laughter echoed all over the placed. The sound of her voice brought goosebumps to everyone. The block smoke covered all over the placed. Then the shaman disappeared.

“I don’t know if I will not go home crazy Myla”, Angel stated in great shocked.

“Kris, kris, kris”, Adam shook Kris, it seems like her soul left her body.

“is she alright?”, asked Des.

Meanwhile the whole tribe helped the poor sultan. His body was there but his eyes looked empty. As if his soul was lost too.

“Major, what will we do?”, asked Aliyah that was now horrified.

“stay calmed, team secure the area”, Adam commanded.

“Gathered everyone in safe place, Lt. Jim and Lt. Augustos , you will be assign to make sure that everyone in the tribe are safe”, Adam ordered.

“copy, Major”, the replied.

“as for you Lt. Dan and Lt. Aliyah, you are in charge for the safety of every volunteers”, he added.

“As for me, I will be monitoring every area using the cameras that you have planted this morning, I will be checking if there is any progress in our mission. Just press on the emergency signal if you noticed something unusual, is everything clear?”, asked Adam.

“sir, yes sir”, they replied.

All were positioned in each post. The Filipino soldiers were assigned to guard the main entrance. Meanwhile, Kris showed no improvement. Her eyes were blank. She wasn’t responding to anyone.

“Kris, can you see us? Can you hear us?”, Myla asked worriedly. She was standing in front of Kris.

“you always made us worried, can you please minimize doing crazy decisions and actions?”, beg Angel.

“it was all my fault”, cried Des.

“I brought all of you on this mess”, she added.

The group started to became hysterical.

“I told you, this place is not and ordinary place, everything I have seen was true”, added Marga who is now horrified remembering her personal experienced.

“yours is invalid, remember? The troops checked it but found nothing”, Angel replied.

“I am sure, I knew that wasn’t a dream”, Marga argued.

“stop that, this is not the time for that”, Des exclaimed.

“Kris became weird since she came here, that’s what I noticed”, Myla commented.

“kind of, from day one until now, she seems different, it made me crazy. But for now, please let me sleep. I wanted to rest, that is all that I want”, said Angel.

“how about kris? I am so exhausted as well, my brain is about to explode from everything that was happening”, stated Myla.

“it’s okay I can guard her for awhile until she will be fine”, offered Des.

Around eleven thirty in the evening Des was half slept and half awake. Poor friend, even how tired she was, she tried to stay awake just to checked Kris but her flesh couldn’t take it any longer.

 “come, go out from the tent”, whispered by a voice heard by Kris.

Kris stood up from where she was sitting and followed every ordered that the voice told her. Kris walked further and further. Everyone was all asleep due to severe tiredness. Even the troops who guarded the camp did not noticed her. Few moments later, she arrived at the river. It was full moon at that moment. The water sparkled brightly. Unknowingly, kris took off all her clothes and soaked herself at the cold water.

“what the”, uttered Adam at the screen monitor.

He guarded the surveillance camera that whole night to checked any progress for their mission. It was almost twelve midnight when he noticed that someone was still awaked at that moment. He saw a woman who walked towards the river at the middle of the night. He attempted to call the troops to get her but for no reason he found himself hooked by her enchanted charm. He knew that it was Kris. She stared at the river for a minute then started to drop her pants slowly, next was her top then her bra. The light from the moon made her body exposed from the surveillance camera. The troops planted it on the tree near the river side.

          Adams pulsed beats wildly. His heart rate was beyond normal. His throat started to dry. His body felt numb that made himself irrational to make any move at that moment. He gazed at her naked body as she slowly soaked herself at the crystal-clear river. Adam got lost from the sight. Some tingling emotions made his body felt warmth. His human flesh started to make him vulnerable. Instead of stopping her, he just stared at the screen in wonder.

 “how do you feel”, asked the voice to Kris.

At that moment Kris was under control by some other unseen creature. Her body was beyond her control. She felt that someone was touching her body. From her head, to her shoulder down to her breast. She felt a different sensation. Her heart was panting. Her desires arouse when she felt that someone was caressing her. She closed her eyes and allowed herself enjoyed the sensation.

Adam couldn’t comprehend at that moment what was Kris doing. From the monitor she saw kris smiled and saw something was different. Kris started to touched her body like. She touched her breast and she was enjoying it. Adam noticed that something wasn’t normal. He zoomed in the camera and noticed that Kris wasn’t alone at the river. The movement of the water indicated that there was another human besides Kris.

  Adam immediately grabbed his weapon and ran towards the river. His heart raced. He felt scared for the very first time in his life. He couldn’t imagine if something bad will happen to kris. He arrived at the river and Kris wasn’t here anymore. He looked around and from his behind he heard a voiced.

“are you looking for me”, said the voice from his back.

Adam turned his head slowly and saw Kris in front of him. His heart pumped so fast. His hands get cold. His mind failed to comprehend.

“why, why are you here”, Adam stuttered.

“I came here to refresh myself, is it not allowed?”, she replied with a creepy smile.

Kris walked towards Adam. She looked at his eyes with sensation. She was trying to tempt him.

“you want to join me”, she whispered at his ear.

“I don’t think so, that’s not a good idea”, Adam replied.

“let’s go back to the camp, before someone noticed that you were gone”, he added.

Kris just smirked and mover more intimately towards him. She started to unbutton his uniform. Adam felt stocked. He couldn’t move his hands. He found himself slaved from her gazed. Adams breath became heavy and heavy.

“relax, major”, Kris whispered again. Now Kris effortlessly took his upper cloth off. She moved closely that made their body felt sensational warmth. Adam the great Alpha was now a slaved of her.

“took off your clothes and follow me”, Kris ordered as she walked towards the river again.

Adam followed everything that she ordered. They both soaked their naked body in the cold water. She touched his body sensibly that made Adam thirst for her. He couldn’t help himself not to touched her back. Their body became closer and closer. Adam kisses her neck with so much passion. Then both of them felt lost. Kris started to moaned that made Adam touched her more. He moved her finger from her shoulder down to her breast.

“please do not stop”, Kris pleaded.

As Adam was about to kiss her more he glanced at her eyes. He noticed that her eyes were all black.

At that moment Adam new it was not Kris.
