"I think you made the right decision," Chris says from behind me, his hand grasping my shoulder. I shrug it off. Irritated by his existence. I hadn't figured out how to tell him that I know he's been manipulating me. With all the chaos I'd forgotten. But now, stuck in a car with him... I remembered.

John eyeballs him in the rear view mirror. A warning maybe.

"I don't want to talk about it." Or the growing unease I feel in my chest the further away we get.

Instead, I watch the trees zip by, the tree shape blurring into one consistent color the faster we drive. We had been driving for an hour. In complete silence.

John remains in his usual brooding silence, occasionally glancing in the rear-view. I wasn't

Will's eyes hold a fury like I've never seen. His jaw clenched so stiffly I wonder if he's grinding his teeth to the root."How?" I stutter, finding the scraps of my voice."Don't talk," he says, his large arms holding my body to his. A car, we're in a car. I'm lying across the backseat, with him. I can't lift my head to see who else is here."Chris? John?"I rasp."Shh," he says, stroking my mattered hair, "we have them. They're a lot better than you." When I attempt to ask more he shuts me up with a piercing stare."Your ribs are broken. I think your cheek might have a fracture too," he looks angry, "I'm keeping you awake, but it's difficult." I awake to sunlight. The rays peeking through the slightly opened curtain. I blink at it, a dull ache immediately blossoming behind my eyes. Will's warm body doesn't stir as I lift my head off his arm. The movement is almost impossible.I settle back down with a sigh. I wouldn't be able to move it would seem. I lift a hand onto Will's chest, savouring the comfort of him. His eyes immediately flutter open. Awake and alert. They settle onto me."Are you okay?" Will asks me, slowly sitting up. He pulls me with him gently, careful to avoid touching my ribs."Everything hurts," I mumble, resting my head on his shoulder. I look at our bodies, "We're both covered in sweat," I say, my nose crinkling in disgust. He brings his hand to my face, placing it on my forehead

The kiss sets me on fire. All the pain completely disappearing. It's just him. And his lips. The kiss is like an answer to a question I didn't know I was asking. We mold into each other. Our lips moving together so harmoniously it's as though we've done this a thousand times before.I hastily bring my fingers into his hair. Massaging his scalp as he kisses me. He moans into my mouth, bringing his hands down from my face to roam my body. Where his hand's touch I feel tingles blossom underneath, the feeling so good I can't help the moan that comes from me. He grips me harder at the sound. I feel him harden against my stomach. Immediately making me need more of him, to feel more of him.I reach down t

"Here, try to eat this," Dyl smiles, handing me a warm bowl. He had spent all morning making the soup Will tells me. I sip delicately at it, the pain in my ribs making it hard to drink and eat anything. They were all surrounding me; Dyl, Jarrod, Christophe, John and four other boys I didn't know the names of. Will sat beside me, a pillar to lean against when sitting by myself got hard. I still felt the weight of his lips against mine. The vamps look more or less fine. Not a single scratch on them, to add insult to injury. The light brown, wooden dining table was large enough to occupy such a company."So," I say between small mouthfuls, "are you going to finally explain to me what happened yesterday?"The boys shift un-comfortably. And I remember how well this conversati

Christophe groans as I place him on the counter of the bathroom sink. John helped me walk him through the house, disappearing once Chris was settled. Something about recon, he said. He has a habit of disappearing.I wring the clothe I'm holding under the water. The blood on his face has dried somewhat, crusting in corners. I don't think about Will, and where he is. Or the giant wolf crushing me into the ground.I bring the clothe to Christophe's face, gently wiping the blood off. He hardly flinches when I go over his cuts. I don't mention how I can see the skin slowly stitching itself together. I think deep down, I still can't process it. The sheer magic of these people in my life.Christophe's eyes stay fixated on my face as I clean his. A hint of a smile on his lips. I

The next day I collect the books out of my locker. It feels weird to be back at school, considering everything that happened in the last few days. My shoulder felt almost normal and my ribs were merely a dull ache. The reason for that was leaning against the locker next to mine. His hand firmly placed in my back jean pocket."Hurry up," Will wines, pouting his plump lips at me. I try my best not to think about those same lips... pressed against me."I am," I say mentally shaking my head, the image out of it, and slamming my locker door shut. He immediately takes my books from me, and my bag. And gives me this lopsided smile that tells me he knows exaclty where my mind went."You know I am capable of carrying my own things.""Doesn't mean you should," he says, putting an arm around my shoulder and pressing his lips to my temple. We walk that way into the classroom, Will pulls a table closer to his for me too sit in. I raise my eyebrows at him, a ghost of a

I can't fight Will as he drags me through the school. He shredded the note within seconds of reading it. And decided school was over for the day. The pack flocked us as we walked out of school."Will I have several assignments," I grit my teeth, pulling against him. He doesn't let up. His grip iron. I try again, "Will." I whine. I was an honour student in New York. School, good grades, these things were important to me."No Andrea. We're going somewhere safe until we know what we're dealing with." Pulling away had no effect. And Brian was at my back."I'm tired of this Will, I just want a day. ONE day, of normalcy." I managed to pull him to a halt.My eyes plead with his, "Give that too me." He sighs throug

He continues to graze my back. Laughing softly when he realises I have no intent to get up."Andrea," he sings, "you need to get up." I grumble an inaudible no, moving to curl around his body. He laughs, running his fingers through my hair. I purrr at the feeling."Everyone's here babe, they're in the dining room," he tries to move away from me, but I hold on tightly. His smooth skin is too comfortable. I awaken slowly. Purposefully slowly. Taking in as much information that I can without betraying my awareness. I knew I was crumpled against a chair. That the left side of my body was in ruin. That I was severely dehydrated, which meant I'd probably been unconscious for ages.I flutter my eyelids over slowly, mainly because the light hurt my eyes. And supported an immediate headache. The headache pounded so aggressively I couldn't stop the groan that escapes me. Someone breathlessly laughs as I blink for my eyes to adjust. I notice I was in a room. That the windows showed daylight. And that I wasn't alone.I didn't react when the black eyed male sat down across from me. I did however, freeze when I saw who sat down next to him.The boy showed me the same friendly smile he gave me at the airport.I straighten slightly, leveling him the most bored look I could muster, "I take it your names not Hayden then?"His smile widens, "Michael, actually." "How's the family, Michael?"This time

"Hello darling," the man purrs. It sent shivers down my back and everything inside me sang. Told me to run.Wrong. Wrong. Wrong. It was wrong. He was wrong. The man leans into the car, his features drawing closer to mine. Pitch black eyes regard me, that smile still resting on his face. The air thins as he nears, my trapped body cringes away. An acidic, earthy smell fills my sense, puncturing a ice bolt through my brain.I vaguely remember a chilling laugh, black smoke pouring from behind him. When my world goes dark.--------Will's pov. I ran out the room. Gunfire continued behind me as the vamps and whoever was attacking us fired off against each other. Glass shatters as explosions sound off from the room. I grit my teeth, flooring it through the hallway.I saw them grab her from the room. Dyl and Brain. I was pinned on the other side, the array of bullets stopping me from moving. They ignored the questions I mentally fired at them. What are you doing? The thought spiked ano

I stare at the limp body. At my mate who was fast asleep under the covers. Disbelief overcomes me. That he would leave me downstairs, in that sauna, by myself, so he could go to sleep? The reasoning was utterly lost on me. So much so I stood motionless at the door, letting the living room light pour in.He didn't budge. Didn't stir even as I busted through the door in panic. I hadn't realised when entering the empty room that maybe I was wrong.I thought that maybe something had happened to him. That I was going to find him, Chris and maybe even John dead in the room. I back away from the bed, out of the door and into the main room. Shutting the door lightly. I turn, only to walk into a solid frame. Chris looks grim as I look up at him. "You okay?" He says, grabbing the side of my arms. I stare at him. Shaking my head numbly. No. I wasn't okay. Those lips thin, and he rubs the sides of my arms. "I'm sorry." He says. I blink. Sorry? Why is he sorry? He didn't leave me downstairs o

Will's pov.I swiftly walk through the gym and into the elevator, my soaked jeans squelching with each step. I knew I seemed like a impatient child jumping from foot to foot but Andrea was downstairs. Naked.Enough said.I bolt from the elevator as the doors open, fast-walking down the passageway whilst simultaneously almost cascading into the walls. Fuck Will, slow down. I clench my fists as I force myself into a slower walk. It was hard. My blood was firing through my body, my wolf growling at me from under my skin. It got worse as Andrea's naked body filled my mind. And it became ever harder to walk.... If you know what I mean. The entire hotel was surrounded by vamps here to protect her. Their stench was a putrid waft into my face ever corner I turned. Meaning...She'll be there when I get back so I really needed to stop fast walking like a crazy lunatic whose never seem a naked woman in his life. The underground gym and pool is long, stacked with all kinds of equipment, and empty.I slowly take in my surroundings and eventually my eyes land on Will, "What are we doing? When I asked about it, Chris said something about 'shaking the tail'.'The pack will scope the place first," Will tells as we pile out of the cars. I mentally roll my eyes. Everything felt as tight shipped as a Presidential escort and I wasover it.I swiftly pick up my bags off the ground and head towards the glass doors that open to reveal reception, "I think I can manage," I say over my shoulder as the front doors open. But I hadn't been able to get Christophe's ghost smile out of my mind. He'd been quiet once the flame was put out. And so was John, whom had left to get our stuff from the other house.
