Chapter Sixty Eight

When Ever got back to the office, she was so happy. She remembered what transpired at the supermarket with Mandy. She kept on smiling until a colleague of hers asked her why she has been smiling. She told her colleague that today is her happiest day. She went on to tell her that very soon, power must change hands. Her colleague who could not make meaning out of what Ever said asked, " I don't understand what you meant by power must change hands. Tell me what that means, please."

Ever who is known to be troublesome and also unfriendly replied, " Oh, you want to hear what I will say so that you will use it against me by gossiping with my name. I know you to be a gossip but please stay away from me. I think this company has to set up a rule for everyone to be minding his or her business."
