Chapter 52

I led my men toward Loren’s territory, just north of the forest. Every second felt like an eternity. My mind raced with thoughts of what could have happened to Rose. She was in Loren’s hands, and I didn’t know if she was safe—or if she had already been harmed.

Everyone knew Loren’s depraved tendencies. The idea of him touching Rose filled me with a rage I could barely contain.

“Marvin, speed up,” I ordered, massaging my temples as guilt and worry clawed at me. This was my failure. I hadn’t anticipated Loren would be bold—or stupid—enough to abduct her after I’d refused him.

“Alpha, I see car lights,” Marvin said, turning toward me from the front passenger seat.

I looked ahead and saw headlights glowing in the distance. It was Loren’s convoy.

“Overtake them and block the road,” I commanded, my voice cold and firm.

Our vehicles roared ahead, cutting off Loren’s cars and forcing them to stop. Without hesitation, I got out of the car with Marvin by my side. My heart pounded, but my resolv

I have been furious with Rose lately. She hadn’t visited me in days, and her aloofness was beginning to wear on me. Her arrogance was another thing I couldn’t stand. Instead of trying to be warm or accommodating, she often kept herself cold and distant, as if she was too good for anyone.Perhaps it was a product of her upbringing, born as the proud princess of her pack. Whatever the reason, I had resolved to put her out of my mind. I decided that even if I saw her again, I would no longer show her any kindness. But I was lying to myself. The moment Rose expressed her gratitude, a spark of joy rippled through me, banishing all the anger and resentment I had harbored. It was maddening. No matter how much I tried to detach myself from her, I couldn’t. It was as if an invisible force bound me to her. I needed to stay close, to protect her, to ensure she was safe.“Loren took my slave without permission. There’s no way I’ll let him make a fool of me. You don’t need to thank me at all,” I s

Jack’s expression shifted unexpectedly, softening into something almost tender. Without a word, he leaned in and kissed me. His lips brushed against mine gently at first, teasing, before his movements grew more demanding. His tongue grazed my lower lip, and before I could protest, he kissed me with such intensity that a soft moan slipped from my lips. The small space of the car was filled with the sound of our ragged breathing. His touch seared against my skin as his hands roamed my body, tracing its curves through my clothes. I felt overwhelmed by the fire in his kiss, and yet I didn’t push him away.Instead, I slowly moved my trembling hands from his chest to wrap them around his neck, pulling him closer. I kissed him back, though clumsily, trying to follow his lead. My body betrayed me, responding to his every touch, every kiss. It felt like I was pinned to the seat by invisible forces, unable to move. I pressed my legs together instinctively, a strange electricity surging through

After much thought, I concluded that letting Rose live in my house was the best solution. Her old apartment was far from secure. The lock on her door was so old that a single kick could break it open. I had to keep Rose safe, under my protection.“I can’t stand you anymore. If you want to sleep with her, then just do it. Don’t make up these ridiculous excuses to get closer to her,” Uriel sneered, his disdain palpable.“Shut up, Uriel,” I muttered, irritated by the voice in my head.Uriel’s tone turned sharper. “Let me spell it out for you. Since you’re the one who insisted on her staying here, you’d better make her earn it. Dismiss all the villa staff and let this girl handle everything herself.”“Enough. Go away, Uriel,” I snapped impatiently. He failed to understand that my actions stemmed from concern for Rose, not weakness.I brought Rose to my villa. Her wide, surprised eyes met mine, sparkling with gratitude. Despite myself, I had to mask my intentions with a stern demeanor. I d

Hilary’s pov Faced with irrefutable evidence of my embezzlement, I knew I had no way out. Desperate, I shifted my strategy and began stoking the pack’s hatred for Rose, hoping to divert their attention and lessen my guilt. The werewolves around me erupted into heated arguments. At first, I thought they’d rally behind me, cursing James Dawson and his daughter, Rose. But to my astonishment, the tide began to turn against me.“I don’t think Hilary did anything wrong,” one voice said. “Rose is just a slave. Selling her for twenty million dollars was a smart move for the pack.”“But Hilary broke the Alpha’s orders and allowed outsiders into our territory. That’s a serious crime. We can’t just overlook it,” another countered.“What James did to our pack is unforgivable,” a third voice chimed in. “But Rose isn’t her father. She’s proven herself to be a good person. Once, she even saved my son in the hospital. Why should she suffer for her father’s sins? She’s still a child.”I scanned the r

Jack’s Point of ViewHilary’s hysterical cries echoed behind me. She was talking about the fire. Her words struck a chord deep within me, pulling me back to one of the darkest winters of my life.Flashback—Years AgoIt was an especially cold winter, and the dungeon reeked of rot and despair. That day, James hadn’t shown up for his usual inspection, which should have brought relief to all of us imprisoned there. No beatings, no whippings, and no cruel games. But his absence only served as a grim reminder of the horror he was capable of—the corpse of a young werewolf still hung from the city wall, rotting in the sun as a warning. I couldn’t shake the thought: Am I next? The dungeon was packed with werewolf slaves crammed into iron cells and cages. The air was thick with the stench of feces and decay. I was trapped in the deepest part of the dungeon when I heard it—a loud, piercing scream from outside. Then, I saw it. Flames illuminated the fortress walls, and smoke began to seep into th

Hilary’s Point of ViewI knew Jack better than anyone else. He was the kind of person who cherished his family, his friends, and anyone who had ever shown him kindness. That’s why lying to him about saving him from the fire had been the smartest decision of my life. The truth was, I hadn’t saved him. During that chaotic fire, when so many werewolves perished, I had been consumed by my own fear. I had run for my life, too terrified to think about anyone else, let alone someone locked in the deepest cell of the dungeon. I didn’t even know who had saved him that day.But fate worked in strange ways. After the fire, the guards from the Maroon Hill pack had thrown me into the cell next to Jack’s. It was then I saw him up close—the werewolf everyone whispered about in hushed tones. Jack was special. Even in captivity, surrounded by filth and despair, he stood apart from the rest.He was everything I admired: brave, intelligent, and undeniably handsome. His pale skin made him seem delicate,

Rose’s Point of ViewAfter Jack left the villa, the butler escorted me to a small room located on the upper floor, directly across from Jack’s bedroom.Calling Jack’s villa “luxurious” would be an understatement—it was more of a palace than a home. Even the modest maid’s quarters assigned to me were far more elegant than any room I’d ever lived in. The balcony attached to my room was expansive, and the bathroom was fitted with advanced, smart technology. It reminded me of the comforts I’d once known before my father passed away.Jack had instructed me to prepare breakfast and dinner for him. I assumed he’d also have me handle chores like laundry and cleaning. Part of me even dreaded the thought of being made to scrub toilets or being locked in the basement again.“Is there anything else you’d like me to do, sir?” I asked politely, turning to the butler behind me.“For now, that’s all,” he replied, a kind smile on his face. “By the way, you don’t need to address me so formally. Bianca’s Point of ViewReturning to university marked the end of everything I had with Carlos. I threw away the punk clothes and jewelry, wiped off the heavy makeup, and let go of the wild hair colors I once thought were the height of style.I was never meant for a life of chaos and recklessness.Focusing on my studies and stepping away from parties brought me a sense of stability I hadn’t felt in a long time. It felt good. It felt right. But just a week later, Carlos forced his way back into my life. That night, his voice echoed from outside my dormitory, calling my name like nothing had ever happened.I used to find his tattoos and piercings thrilling—an exciting contrast to my world. Now, they looked grotesque, a sick reminder of my past mistakes. I recoiled at the sight of him. How had I ever fallen for someone like him?“Who the hell does he think he is? Want me to take care of him for you?”Rose had just returned from her pack visit, dropping her bag as she walked toward the win

Rose’s Point of View“Do you have a plan in mind?” I asked, settling beside Jack and watching his thoughtful expression. I was certain he had already figured out his next move.Jack turned to me with a soft smile, his gaze warm and tender. Ever since his wolf had recovered, he had become more open, more affectionate.“I have a feeling the Wouri River Pack will target the Blue Lagoon Pack next, now that they’ve taken over the smaller surrounding packs. So, I’ve decided to help them.”“That’s a smart move,” I said, nodding in agreement. “When are you heading to the front lines?”Jack always looked at the bigger picture. By assisting the Blue Lagoon Pack, he wasn’t just helping an ally—he was securing his own pack’s safety. With their support, the smaller packs had a better chance of survival.“Tonight,” he murmured, wrapping his arms around me. I knew he hated leaving my side.I also knew he wouldn’t be back anytime soon.I had heard whispers about the Wouri River Pack since childhood.

  • ALPHA’s HEART MY PRISON   Chapter 184

Rose’s Point of ViewMarvin drove us back to the university, but the entire ride, I couldn’t help but notice Bianca sneaking glances at him through the rearview mirror. It wasn’t surprising. After all, she had probably developed a crush on him ever since he saved her.“Marvin, what are you doing this weekend?” I asked casually, breaking the silence. “I bought two movie tickets for a theater just outside campus, but I won’t be able to go because of all my homework. Do you want to take Bianca instead?”I figured this was the perfect excuse for them to spend time together and get to know each other. Bianca certainly didn’t seem opposed to the idea.“Movie tickets?” Marvin glanced at me before shaking his head. “Luna, if you don’t need them, I can help you sell them to someone else. Things are hectic at work, and I don’t think I’ll have any free time. Besides, I’m sure Bianca has a lot of assignments to catch up on too.”I stifled a sigh. Sometimes, Marvin could be as dull as stagnant wat

  • ALPHA’s HEART MY PRISON   Chapter 183

Bianca’s Point of ViewMarvin drove me away from West Street, his hands steady on the wheel as the city slowly woke up around us. The once-dark sky was beginning to lighten, and more cars filled the road.I turned my head to glance at him. The dim glow of streetlights flickered across his sharp features, highlighting the tense set of his jaw. His expression was unreadable—his lips pressed into a firm line, his focus locked on the road ahead.“Are you feeling any better? Don’t worry… You’re safe now.”Marvin must have noticed me staring because he turned slightly, his voice softer than before. The fear still clung to me, refusing to fade. A short while ago, I had been utterly terrified—more than I had ever been in my life.Carlos was a lost cause. A thug who would never change. I had been naïve to think otherwise, to believe that love could fix someone like him. How foolish I had been.I let out a shaky breath, tightening Marvin’s coat around me. Staring out the window, I struggled to

Bianca’s point of viewWhat?I couldn’t believe what I had just heard.Carlos had the audacity to suggest I sleep with his friends—as if I were some object to be passed around. His words hit me like ice-cold water, jolting me into instant sobriety. I stared at him, my chest tightening with disbelief and disgust.“You bastard! What do you think I am?” My voice trembled with rage as I shot to my feet. “How dare you say that to me?”The illusion I had built around him shattered in an instant. I had been blind, foolish enough to believe he was different from the lowlifes he surrounded himself with. I had convinced myself that if he changed his lifestyle, things would get better. But now, I saw the truth—Carlos was no better than the thugs my parents had warned me about. They had been right all along.Carlos was not a good man. He was a monster.I shook my head, my body rigid with fear. I had to leave. Now.But the moment I took a step back, Carlos lunged.“Where the hell do you think you’

But as the weeks passed, I began to see a different side of him, one I had ignored for too long.At first, I dismissed my doubts, convincing myself that I was imagining things. But the truth was undeniable: Carlos was not the man I thought he was.He had promised we would leave this city behind, escape to a place where no one knew us. I had believed him so completely that I even ended my engagement, thinking we would start a new life together. But Carlos never followed through. Rose’s Point of ViewReturning to campus, I entered my dormitory and immediately noticed Bianca’s absence. Hours passed, and by midnight, she still hadn’t returned. Normally, she would call if she planned to stay out, but tonight, there was nothing—no message, no missed call.Uneasy, I grabbed my phone and dialed her number.Loud music and raucous laughter filled the background as soon as she answered.“Huh? What are you saying, Rose? Speak up—I can’t hear you!” Bianca’s voice was slurred, her words stumbling over themselves. She sounded drunk.“Where are you right now?” I asked again, my concern growing.“I’m at Charles de Gaulle Bar on West Street! Dancing with Carlos’ friends—come join us!” she giggled, oblivious to my worry. Before I could respond, vulgar voices cut through the phone.“Hey baby, how about a striptease?”“Gotta get this bitch’s clothes off first, ha-ha!”“Damn, I want her on her knees.”A chill ran down my spine. My grip on the phone tightened.“Bianca, are you ins

Rose’s point of view:The moment I saw Aaron deliberately irritating Jack, I knew that I was completely and totally condemned. Since Aaron had revealed our old relationship, Jack’s face was cold and dark.Even when he told the guard to hunt Aaron, the rage that burned in his eyes did not stop. The moment the door closed and there were only the two of us left, Jack took me in his arms. He was so strong that I couldn't defend myself. He pressed me hard against the desk, his powerful arms holding me back. Without an ounce of hesitation, he leaned over and took my lips in his. I opened my mouth, responding to his fiery kiss in nature.I could feel the growing anxiety in him as he held me against the desk and kissed me deeply."Wait, I think you should listen to my explanation," I tried to reason, pushing his firm chest against me.“Ok, no problem.
