Rose’s point of view:

Looking at this isolated and deserted place, I felt more nervous. If Andrea was here, my wolf would certainly have smelled her smell, unless she was taken elsewhere and never came here.

"Andrea is not here." I lowered my head with a discouraged air, my heart became heavy.

"Everything will be fine. They must not have gone very far. Let's go there to look for them. ”

Jack probably expected this result, which was why he looked so calm. He raised his hand to pat my back tenderly. Then he held my hand and led me further to continue looking for Andrea.

I just nodded in response, as my mind wandered everywhere Andrea could have been taken. I was so focussed that I didn't feel like talking to Jack until I realised he glanced at me from time to time.

"What are you looking at? ", I asked suspiciously.

"What happened to your face? " asked Jack, his eyebrows furrowed.

As he tried to touch the scars on my face, I instinctively dodged him. He immediately withdrew his hand, his

Rose’s point of view:The ruins were once a three-story laboratory of the Maroon Hill pack.My father was a medical fanatic. In my memory, he had often come there to do scientific experiments. The laboratory was set on fire during the war between the two packs, so the building was abandoned."Let's go inside.” Jack took a dark look at this dilapidated building. You couldn't see much in the dark."You seem to know this place well," I commented.Jack drove me inside and found a passage to the basement well hidden in the grass. He knew this building very well. He jumped first and waited downstairs to catch up with me."Of course I know this place. This is where my nightmare began," said Jack with a laugh in his nose that caused a shiver in my back.We walked until we reached a secret passage.Jack’s strange tone made me uncomfortable. I felt that something was wrong. It seemed that everything my father had done was going to be put in the open. The underground passages intersected like a

Jack’s point of view:Rose must have recognised voice, her eyes had turned red with anger,Logan threw his cap on the floor and trampled on it with anger as soon as he realised that his identity had been discovered."Alpha, why are you protecting James Dawson’s daughter? The entire Dawson family must die. They killed my wife and children. I will never forgive them!”Logan was carried away by hatred. Angry, he placed the knife near Andrea's neck by lightly brushing her skin, making her bleed. If I was not mistaken, Logan did not love his wife at all. When I was tortured in the dark room, I saw him hit and reprimand his wife without remorse. The latter was a very kind woman who often gave her bread to small children. Unfortunately, she didn't have the beauty that could satisfy Logan. After all, it was the Moon Goddess who assigned him his companion. Although he never wanted to be in a relationship with a fat and ugly wolf, he had no choice but to accept her, because he was afraid of n

Rose’s point of view:Soon, Marvin arrived with a group of werewolves from the Blue Lagoon pack.Logan always begged for Alpha's mercy as he was dragged outside with his hands tied.As soon as he left, I immediately untied the ropes on Andrea and began to examine her carefully from head to toe. She was breathing normally. It seemed that she was just unconscious and that she had nothing serious. I thought she would wake up soon. I was instantly relieved.I wanted to carry Andrea on my back. But maybe the tense nerves suddenly relaxed, my whole body was weak. After getting up and taking a few steps, I felt my legs shaking. "Let me take her.” Placing a soft hand on my shoulder, Jack lifted Andrea from my back and took her in her arms. We came out of the basement.Jack was tall and strong. While observing his muscular back, I remembered all the instruments of torture in the basement. Jack had to be tortured there, and his self-esteem had been reduced to nothing.Various emotions have tak

Rose’s point of view:All along the way, I kept wondering who this woman was. After the death of my family, I knew few people in the Blue Lagoon pack. No werewolf wanted to see me there."Rose!” When I reached the entrance of the pack, I was hugged by someone, it was Lucy, Dolores’ daughter from the Maroon Hill pack. Her parents had died in an accident a few years ago, she was my childhood best friend.Although she seemed tired from her trip, she was still beautiful with her light blue eyes. It had been more than six months since we had seen each other, she seemed to have lost a lot of weight during these six months."What are you doing there, Lucy? ", I asked her with surprise. "The werewolves of the Blue Lagoon pack hate the members of our pack. Aren't you afraid they'll capture you? "I quickly walked my gaze around us, I became more anxious.During the war, Lucy was in college, so she could escape it beautifully."I was terrified when I learned that something had happened to the pa

“Why don’t you let me tell these werewolves the truth? They need to know you played a part in helping them before. I hate seeing you stuck here, doing all this menial work, day in and day out, while they intimidate you. Rose, you deserve better, and this could change everything,” Lucy said firmly, holding my hand. She always had a knack for finding solutions.I wanted a better life too, but in the Blue Lagoon pack, I was nothing more than a disgrace in their eyes. Even if I told them the truth, I doubted they’d believe me. Worse, I feared they might accuse me of lying.“I don’t have any proof, Lucy. They don’t even trust me now. If you stand up for me, they’ll just assume you’re lying to protect me. And when that happens, they’ll turn against you too. It’s not worth the risk,” I replied honestly, shaking my head.Lucy’s suggestion was tempting, but I couldn’t let her put herself in danger for me. Even though I longed for a better life with Andrea, I couldn’t gamble with Lucy’s safety.

Jack's point of view Rose came to my office today, accompanied by her friend Lucy. Her scar was healing well, and she seemed to be gradually regaining her strength. Even with the fading scar, Rose’s beauty hadn’t diminished.I caught myself staring at her again, waiting for those light brown eyes to meet mine. But, as always, she glanced at me once and then looked away. What was I doing? What was wrong with me?“You’re losing it, Jack. Completely insane! Maybe I should find you a damn doctor,” Uriel, my wolf, growled in my mind the moment Rose left.“Shut up, Uriel! I have work to do, and you’re not helping!” I muttered, rubbing my temples in frustration. But Uriel was relentless, his voice thundering in my head like he’d just been injected with pure adrenaline.“Don’t act like you don’t know why you’re so distracted. You let Lucy stay here, claiming it was because she helped the pack. But we both know you did it for Rose, to make her feel less alone. Don’t lie to yourself. You’re a

Rose's point of viewI managed to pull the little girl out of the rubble and return her to her mother just before the building collapsed completely. Once she was safe, I turned my focus back to the others trapped beneath the debris. The collapse had left a chaotic mess of bricks, stones, and shattered beams. Determined to save as many lives as possible, I began sifting through the wreckage, lifting whatever I could. As I worked, memories of the last war flooded my mind. The destruction, the loss, the unbearable suffering—it was all still fresh. The smell of dust and death brought it all back. My heart sank as I uncovered more bodies, lifeless and buried beneath the ruins.Jack arrived soon after, his presence commanding. Despite being the Alpha, he didn’t hesitate to join in, rolling up his sleeves and pulling trapped werewolves from under the heavy rubble. He carried them to the stretchers with an urgency that matched the dire situation. But we were overwhelmed. There weren’t enough

Rose's point of viewThe doctors were taken aback by my response.“What are you talking about? Don’t you think it’s better to save the werewolf who’s less injured first?” one of them asked, clearly confused.I stood my ground. “If we save him first, the other one is guaranteed to die. But if you follow my plan, both of them will have a chance to survive.”A stern-looking doctor frowned at me. “The less-injured werewolf could die from the weight of the beam if we don’t move him immediately. Your plan could leave us with neither of them surviving.”I could feel their distrust and frustration, but before I could respond, Jack’s voice cut through the tension.“Why did you even ask for her opinion if you were just going to blame her if something goes wrong? That’s pathetic,” Jack said, his voice sharp, his lips curling in disdain. The doctors looked down, clearly chastised.I swallowed my nerves and took a deep breath. “We can’t choose one and abandon the other. They both deserve to live!

Ariel’s Point of ViewThe first time I visited the Maroon Hill Pack, I was only eight years old. My father had told me we needed to establish good relations with them because they were a powerful pack. At the time, we were weak and in desperate need of allies. That was when I first met Rose. Before that, I had encountered many princesses from other packs—most of them spoiled, arrogant, and dismissive of weaker packs like ours. I assumed Rose would be the same. But I was wrong.Rose was different. She was kind, cheerful, and full of life. She had a natural instinct to care for those more fragile than herself. Whenever we played together, I would pretend to get hurt just to see her rush to comfort me. She always fell for it, her concern genuine and warm.Like me, Rose wasn’t fond of the rigid rules and traditions of our packs. She had a love for medical books and often told me that she would one day attend the best medical university.I thought we would always be friends. But then the M

Jack closed the distance between us in an instant, pulling me into his arms. The tension in the air was suffocating.“She’s not going with you. Leave,” he said coldly, his grip tightening on my shoulder. His anger was unmistakable.Ariel, however, remained composed, a polite smile still on his face, though there was a sharp edge to his tone.“And who exactly are you to make that decision for her?” he asked.Jack’s expression darkened. “I’m her boyfriend,” he declared, his icy gaze locked onto Ariel before shoving me into the back seat of his car.I turned my head, catching a glimpse of Ariel’s expression. Disappointment flickered in his eyes as he frowned at me.“What are you looking at, Rose?” Jack’s voice was low and warning, snapping my attention back to him. He rolled up the window and pulled me against him, his arm locked firmly around my waist.I dropped my gaze, refusing to engage. He was acting like a possessive child, and I had no patience for it.The car remained stationary.

Rose’s Point of View“Why did you quit so suddenly? Was the workload too much?” Bianca asked, toothbrush in hand. She looked genuinely surprised when I told her I had resigned.I had been so determined to earn my own money when I took the job.“No, it was for personal reasons,” I replied flatly, lying back on the bed with little enthusiasm.Sensing my lack of interest, Bianca didn’t press further. The next day, Ariel reappeared. We had just finished our morning classes and were having lunch in the university cafeteria when he joined us, setting his tray down beside me.“Why did you quit? I didn’t see you at the restaurant today,” he asked, flashing his usual bright smile. Ariel had always had an infectious energy, a stark contrast to Jack’s cold and distant demeanor. Even when we were children, no matter how much I teased or upset him, he would wipe his tears away and bounce back with that same cheerful grin.“I just didn’t feel like working there anymore,” I said, stirring my soup ab

Rose’s Point of ViewUniversity gave me a fleeting taste of freedom. I had always dreamed of living on campus, and though I had managed to break away physically, I knew I was still trapped under Jack’s control. No matter how much distance I put between us, I never forgot that I didn’t belong to the Blue Lagoon Pack. The only thing that kept me going was my hatred for that place—revenge had become the purpose of my life.Determined to carve out some independence, I secretly took a part-time job at a restaurant near the university. I worked four hours a day, and lunch was included. Most importantly, the money I earned was mine alone. I could save it, spend it however I wanted, and Jack would have no way of tracking it. If I used his credit card, he’d see every transaction, and that would make it impossible for me to escape his grasp in the future.Ariel often came to the restaurant while I was working. I wasn’t sure when he had developed such an obsession with hamburgers. As far back as

Classes began the next day, and our professor was an elegant middle-aged woman who carried herself with quiet authority.I focused on the lecture, taking careful notes, but at some point, I glanced to my side and noticed a young man sitting next to me. He had striking black eyes and golden blonde hair that shimmered under the classroom lights—bright, almost like the California sun. There was something familiar about him.I couldn’t shake the feeling that I had seen him before. It wasn’t just an excuse to steal glances—I was certain I knew him from somewhere.Throughout the class, I found myself sneaking quick looks in his direction, trying to place where I had met him before.Bianca, who had been watching me the whole time, leaned in with a smirk. “So, I guess he’s your type?” she teased, winking.I nearly choked on my own breath. “What? No! What are you even talking about? I was just trying to remember where I’ve seen him before.”Before Bianca could tease me further, the blonde guy

Rose’s Point of ViewThe new semester had finally begun, and with it, my chance to leave the Blue Lagoon Pack behind.I had looked forward to this moment for so long, but Jack had insisted on taking me and Lucy to the university himself. I had tried to refuse—I didn’t want to trouble him. He could have easily sent one of his subordinates to drive us instead. But, as always, Jack was persistent.Even when we arrived at the university, he insisted on carrying my luggage. The sight of an Alpha hauling the bags of a mere slave was unsettling, to say the least. It made me uncomfortable. This wasn’t how things were supposed to be.At the entrance of my dormitory building, Jack pulled out a phone and handed it to me.“Keep this with you at all times. I want you to stay in touch with me every day.” His voice was firm, leaving no room for argument.I hesitated before replying. “I don’t think that’s a good idea. With classes and assignments, I might not have time to talk all the time.”I didn’t

Jack’s Point of ViewSnow fell steadily outside, blanketing the streets in white. After the party, Rose and I returned to the villa together, while Lucy agreed to take Andrea home. For some reason, I had never liked Lucy. Something about her unsettled me. Why had she deliberately inserted herself between Rose and me at the party? It felt intentional, as if she was trying to keep us apart.I glanced at Rose, searching for something to say. “The snowfall is heavy this year.”She sat by the car window, her gaze fixed on the wintry landscape outside. She looked peaceful, lost in thought, completely uninterested in conversation.“Yeah, it’s beautiful,” she murmured, but there was no warmth in her voice. It had been days since we’d had a real conversation. When we arrived at the villa, Rose barely looked at me. She kept her head down, making a beeline for the stairs. Before she could escape, I reached for her arm and gently stopped her, pressing a black credit card into her palm.“This is f

Rose’s Point of ViewThe Goddess of the Moon must have heard my prayers. The exam results were finally published, and I had passed all my tests with honors. As if the universe was aligning just for me, my admission letter from the University of Howard arrived soon after. It was a dream come true—I had always wanted to study there, just like Lucy. She was well-known for her expertise in surgery, and I had always admired her dedication.Bursting with excitement, I couldn’t wait to share the news with her.“Lucy! I got accepted!”Back when we were students, we used to talk endlessly about going to university together, meeting new people, and maybe even finding love along the way. Now, that dream was finally becoming a reality. My hands trembled with excitement as I held the letter.“That’s amazing!” Lucy beamed, taking the letter from my hands and hugging me tightly. “We have to celebrate! I’m throwing you a party.”Without wasting any time, Lucy invited Andrea and me to her apartment af

Rose’s Point of ViewFrom the moment I refused Jack’s offer to make me his Luna, everything between us shifted. The air grew heavier, laced with tension and unspoken words. Every time our paths crossed, I felt an awkward pull, like the weight of something unresolved lingering just beneath the surface.I’d been avoiding Jack for two days, unable to face him without the sting of embarrassment tightening my chest. How was I supposed to look him in the eyes after turning him down? After all we’d been through, I didn’t even know how to act around him anymore.Today, the Blue Lagoon Pack received an enormous influx of money and supplies from the Black Basin Pack—a result of Jack’s latest victory. The hospital was flooded with new equipment, medicines, and resources, and I was assigned, along with a few other doctors, to help with the inventory.Everyone buzzed with excitement, voices filled with plans for the celebration party scheduled for the evening. Even the doctors couldn’t stop talkin
