There was nothing worse than this disgusting act that he had committed, betraying my trust and touching my woman which meant my wolf and I had already decided that he was going to be a dead man until Maisie interfered again.

She could not bear to watch me murder the mate of her friend but I was way past caring about such stuff. My mind was filled with nothing more than blood-thirsty rage, along with the deep, hidden fear that things might not have been the way they seemed.

A part of me feared that history was repeating itself that's why I unconsciously tried to focus on my anger rather than to think about such things. My wolf's pessimistic behavior did not help me quell those thoughts but I couldn't let him win. Because when I didn't know what I would do if I found out that she had been the one to initiate it.

My doubts were assuaged when I cast one more look at her appearance. Her clothes were torn and bloody, revealing the harsh cuts and bruises
