After I expressed my outburst, the majestic alpha wolf maintained its calm gaze on me before taking a step forward and etching something onto the ground. The scraping sound of its paws against the earth initially grated on my nerves, but as I approached to see what it was doing, I realized it was actually trying to help me.

As soon as I drew near, the wolf took a step back and turned its head in a specific direction. It took me a moment to comprehend its message, as it did not seem to be open to telepathic communication.

A surge of anger resurfaced within me as I absorbed the newfound revelation. "He is in my house?"

The wolf nodded in confirmation.

I released a short laugh before I hit a nearby tree with my clenched fists. The tree shook hard from the impact, driving away all the birds from its branches into the night sky.

I should have known Xavier would do something like this. I wasn't even supposed to be disappointed by his actions by now. The f
