As we talked with the school director, I kept my eyes on Alexei who kept playing on the plush rug underneath him. Every sound around me eventually became muted as I watched my little wolf covered in silver-gray fur leap from one spot to another, twisting mid-air before it landed on the rug again, its little paws leaving faint imprints. The school director's frightened gasps did not go unnoticed after she witnessed the scene but my mate was doing a good job distracting her from the little ruckus our son was creating. My eyes twinkled with amusement watching his playful actions as my son rolled onto its back, legs flailing, and rubbed against the rug.
