Ava's POV.

Whenever I find myself in her presence, it feels like I'm wading through a never-ending swamp of nonsense. By the time I reach her, I'm already exhausted and fed up. I simply can't deal with it anymore.

After enduring her company for what felt like an eternity, I finally decided to leave. Starting up the car's engine, I drove back home. Arriving at my house, I found the door unlocked, which irritated me even further.

"Mother?!" I called out, the sound of my voice reverberating through the empty halls.

"Who's there?" her voice responded. I could hear her footsteps drawing nearer as she approached me. When she finally saw me, her face creased with lines of worry.

"Oh, Ava," she exclaimed, taking me by the arm and guiding me to a seat.

As she gazed at me with a mixture of concern and frustration, her words hung in the air like heavy clouds, laden with unspoken questions and misunderstandings.
