Kayla's POV.

"I'm sorry," he murmured, his words barely audible as I struggled to compose myself amidst the whirlwind of conflicting feelings swirling within me.

His words brought a smile to my lips, easing the tension that had been building within me.

"I couldn't hold myself back," he confessed, his gaze softening as he looked down at me.

"That's why I couldn't hold anything against you. I knew right then and there that I am hard for you again, but I wouldn't want us getting into an accident now, would we?" he added with a hint of humour, his words laced with affection.

I nodded in understanding, a sense of relief washing over me as I relaxed back into the chair.

Despite the unexpected turn of events, I was grateful that our connection remained strong and that any perceived tension between us had been quickly dispelled.

"Where are we headed?" I asked, eager to redirect the conversation and focus on our destination.

With his reassuring words, I felt a renewed sense of confidence a
