REYNOLDS' POV.

Collapsing into the chair, a glass clutched in my hand, my gaze shot up to the ceiling. I downed more of the contents, feeling my belly churn and my entire body ache.

Thoughts raced through my mind, and I remained glued to the seat, drowning in a whirlpool of emotions.

Three agonising days had passed, three entire days, and Adora remained elusive.

Hour after hour, news reached me, each time echoing the same heartbreaking message; she had not been found.

The weight of helplessness and weakness bore down on me.
