ROSALINE’S POV:

My eyes feel dry even before I open them, and when I do, I shut them back quickly due to the blinding light that penetrated my eyelids. A groan left my lips, and I tried to sit up, but a sharp pain shot through my abdomen, causing me to hiss. My hands travel down to the hurting area, but unlike the soft skin I expected to feel, there is a hard substance. It took me only a second to realize that it was a bandage.
