The marking

It was a soothing night. The atmosphere was peaceful and serene. Tranquility enveloped everywhere, and the night sky had a subtle glow to add to it.

The stars were scattered around the sky, each one twinkling like a diamond. The full moon, a silver crescent, casted a gentle glow over the clear field like it was in tune with the pack's mind.

The wind whispered softly, the leaves around the pack rustled in response to it. Standing on the podium of the field was Liam, with a knife in his hand in preparation for the Luna's claiming.

The Luna's claiming was an old pack tradition. It was a ritual organized by elders of the pack to formally recognize and accept the Luna as his mate and pack's Alpha female. The ceremony would mark the beginning of their bond and solidify their position as the pack leaders.

Liam was dreadful of it. He had been forced to agree to her demands, even though he didn't trust her enough to mark her. She had threatened to leave him, blackmailed him successfully
