LoganWe emerged from the tree line down to the roadway, with Alex still holding onto my feeble frame. The clouds had taken their dark blue color, and we had to find a place to rest for the night. That wasn't an option for my Gamma. He had to get me to the Rogue's Pack because staying out here for too long would only weaken me and leave me as dead weight. My skin had turned pale, and I was running high on fever. I was wrestling with my eyes to keep them open and the venom of the hound's bite on my leg was spreading up to my thighs. I wasn't sure that I would survive this. That I'd make it. What if I didn't? What if I don't see my wife ever again? I had to fight for my family, for my kids, for my pack.
