I shoved her and she stumbled backwards with a look of surprise in her eyes.“This is the second time you’re trying to imprint my face on the sand, and it better be the last time. I don’t know what your problem is but I’m not dealing with it so be warned.” My voice was guttural because my wolf was close to the surface.Midi snarled and moved towards me.“How dare you lay your hands on me, you filthy mutt!” She yelled.“Between the both of us, who’s the mutt, rogue?” I said sarcastically“Better a rogue than a lowly slave. ADAIRA~Her claws sliced my face and nearly took out my eye. The wound was superficial and would heal soon, but I was so stunned that she tricked me so I tripped over my feet, fell and rolled over three times before my body stopped. Midi was on me in the next second and I yelled as her claws dug into my shoulders from behind. Now, my wolf was pissed. I rolled over to get her claws out of me. I knew it would really hurt and my flesh would get torn, but I did it anyway and then I let my wolf take over. I growled angrily as my paws hit the ground. I still felt the lingering pain in my shoulders from Midi’s claws digging into them, but it had mostly healed because of my shift from human to wolf.It was no secret that I was a better fighter in wolf form and not just because of the enhanced senses of a wolf. ADAIRA ~ I turned and ran off before Gavrael could say another word. I knew he would probably punish me for what I just did to Midi, but I honestly couldn’t care less. I left because I wasn’t in the mood to hear how he would punish me this time. I was too riled up to accept any punishment from him without protest, and I didn’t want anyone else to pay the price for my actions. I would still have to deal with it later but that would give me some more time to shore up my defences so I would accept my punishment with my head held high and my lips sealed. Besides, I have to join the others to serve them all breakfast. I may poison them one of these days just to teach them a lesson not to bite the hand that feeds them, but I would have to come up with a fool proof plan in order for that to succeed. ADAIRA~I wasn’t afraid as I got dressed and walked downstairs to join the others to serve meals, but I was still wary. I didn't know what to expect, the anticipation was killing me and not in a good way. Gavrael was making things worse by behaving like he hadn’t just been in my room trying to seduce me, and then threatening me right after that before leaving. He was seated at the head table with the high ranked rogues that usually ate with him minus Midi.
