~64 I'M BACK

Dorian had woken me up very early, in the hours of the morning. I remembered stirring in my sleep as Dorian gently shook my shoulder. His handsome face was a blur as I tried to open my sleepy eyes, and I couldn't help but feel annoyed at being woken up so early after the events that happened between us yesterday. But as he spoke, the urgency in his voice woke me up faster than any amount of caffeine could.

"Eden, we have to leave for North Creekville as soon as possible," he said, his tone serious. "Something has come up and I need to be there for my pack."

My heart sank at the thought of leaving the cozy cottage we had stayed in for the past month. It was the first place in a long time that had ever felt like home to me, and now we had to leave so abruptly. But I knew how important Dorian's responsibilities as a leader were, so I pushed aside my own feelings and nodded in agreement.

"Okay, I'll start packing," I said, sitting up in bed and rubbing the sleep from my eyes.
