The conflicting emotions of feeling a bond with Jason while still thinking of Scott weighed heavily on my mind as we made our way back to the pack house. Jason's gaze, intense and probing, seemed to search for answers within me.

It has been a whirlwind of events lately. Discovering this newfound connection with Jason had stirred up a mixture of excitement and confusion within me.
