As Scott walked Fiona back to the pack, their both attention was diverted the moment they heard a male voice.

"Fiona," the male voice called with a warm and bright smile but Fiona seemed not to recall who exactly it was.

"Eels, who is this?" Fiona mind linked her wolf.

Eels, Fiona's loyal wolf companion, replied through their telepathic connection, "I'm not sure, Fiona. I don't recognize him either. But his voice sounds friendly, and he seems familiar to you."

Curiosity piqued, Fiona turned her attention back to the approaching figure. The man had a rugged yet gentle demeanor, and his warm smile seemed genuine.
